Fire Febles. Seriously, if the runner is not sure what to do the only job you have is to score him on that play. that's not Febles that's on benintendi Benintendi screwed up. The base coach is there to make sure he scores. You have a conversation before the play about the various things he’s going to do. When all those plans go to crap because the runner can’t see the fielder because the umpire blocked his view, you yell at the runner telling him exactly what to do and exactly when to do it. The third base coach jacked it up. He’s got one job.

Benintendi can’t leave the base to see the ball but Febles can walk down the line. Also, I get the aggressive approach but Devers just hacking up there. New pitcher who just loaded the bases. Take until you get a strike for cripessakes Actually, I'd put that on Benintendi for not telling Febles he couldn't see it. I don't blame him for not going. And 99% of the time, the runner doesn't need the 3b coach's help because they have a clear view.

If they don't end up having to pay for that mistake they will have had a very fortunate night. Stupid. You would think on a 3g losing skid they could be alert.

Benintendi left early and then had to go back and retag. No way that's on the base coach

i hate saying it....but JBJ is a below average major league hitter, I think at this point he is what he is. Still like having him on our team, though,

It looks like he just assumes he sees the play

Agree that the runner doesn’t need help 99% of the time, but the coach should give him the right information to have him score that other 1%.

Eduardo was really good tonight, so that's a positive. If we're scrounging around for positives, I'd say the fact that we have the lead in the 8th inning also counts for something.

Good Lord. Someone sit Devers down, show him some video and tell him to calm down and come to the plate with a plan other than “swing at everything.” Like others have said, these bad habits can take hold fast and be tough to shake.

Plenty of good seats still available at Rogers Centre for tonight's game. Frauds. To be fair, the Leafs are on TV in a Game 7 and the Raptors are hosting a playoff game up the road. It's a hockey town first - I wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of people with tickets said screw it and prioritized the hockey game.

I think he could really use a day off, hes been getting the most time out there with no real spell at 3B. Tomorrow seems as good as any to get both Lin and Holt out there.

Great win! Nice to see Eduardo step up, and Mookie to keep fire. This offense and defense will welcome the return of Pedroia and Xander, but for now, feeling pretty good despite a couple losses. If you said these guys would be 18-5 at the start of the season I would have been ecstatic.

Sox win, Bruins up 6-4 - turning out to be a great sports day.
Nice win - ERod, Mookie, relief pitching. Good win to build on and regain the winning ways!
