Looks like Steven wants Drew's job.

Wright still in here. Surprised they haven't gone to Kelly or Barnes yet. You jest, right? They both pitched yesterday and Wright could probably pitch both ends of a doubleheaderif needed.

It's probably safe to say Pomeranz is not going to be seen again for awhile.

Yeah just more surprised. Kelly and Barnes have been Cora's go to guys back there, but this shows the faith he has in Wright.

Beni up to nearly .370 OBP. Should at least flip him and Mookie in the line-up.

Hopefully that can keep some of our better relievers out of this game.

Or at least let Wright go until he puts a baserunner on. Especially against the bottom of the order.

also, Benny is mashing the ball too lately, not just getting on base.

Yes, but all 3 of Barnes/Kelly/Kimbrel pitched yesterday (especially Kimbrel considering it was a 4 run game at the time) and they don't have Monday off, so they have another 8 games before their next day off.

This is going to be a very good, maybe a great Braves team. Lots of impressive young players.

Kimbrel has given up FIVE home runs? That is a lot.

Kimbrel has given up FIVE home runs? That is a lot. Yeap, very homerun prone. It gets a little uncomfortable when Kimbrel comes in to save one run games because of this.

In the 4th inning? C'mon man. This isn't game 7 of the WS. Heart of the order, 2 men on base. High leverage inning at it's finest. The 4th inning is not high leverage no matter who is up.

Someone post Cora's comments about the next turn in the rotation in Pomeranz's spot please.

OK fine, but given that it was the 4th inning, there were 5 more innings of possible higher leverage at bats. Burning your setup guy in the 4th is not something to do unless you're in the playoffs. Since when has any Red Sox manager done that in any game of the history of the Red Sox? Are we now complaining every single time a manager doesn't bring the setup guy into the game in the 4th inning with the heart of the order up of a close game? That's going to be a lot of complaining considering it has never been done once before.

Who do we bring up when we put Drew P. on the disabled list?
I don't think Poyner has been down long enough. Was Workman been throwing well lately? Maybe Scott?
