I'll be watching to see if Lakins follows Jimenez. Based on Portland's probables for the next 3 days not including him, I'm assuming they decided not to stretch him back out to a starter's workload, and his last appearance was starting the back-end of a doubleheader in which Jimenez started the opener. The question is if they'll continue with the three-inning stints or use him in a true relief role - I'm assuming the former.

...and he pitched in a true relief role: 1IP 0H 0ER 1BB 2K. He threw 12 of his 18 pitches for strikes, and 6 of those were of the swinging variety.

Bobby Dalbec with his Carolina League leading tenth home run of the year in the first inning. For comparison, Chavis had 12 at this point in Salem last year.

For shiggles (in other words, not saying that you were making a particular point that I'm refuting), after 47 games: Chavis '17: 202 PA, .337/.411/.680, 14 HR, 17 BB, 41 K Dalbec '18: 195 PA, .217/.347/.478, 10 HR, 28 BB, 62 K
