But he still can't find the plate and is falling behind all the time.

Why even run him out there? I keep hearing that it was right around this period last year that it all clicked for him. But 1) that was an outlier season for him and 2) let it click in AAA and it’s not a guaranteed loss. Brutal.

Pomeranz really needs to be gone from the rotation. How the hell is he going to pitch his way out of this when he has 0 pitches that he can command or throw for a strike?
How much f'ing longer can it go on? I'd be way more confident sending Bobby Poyner out there that he'd get more outs than Pomeranz.

Pomeranz looks a lot better now though, despite that homerun. It would be huge if he can comeback at some point.

If Pomeranz completes the third inning, he gets my avatar. I’m pulling for him, but don’t think I’m going to lose this bet with myself.

the HR was pretty lucky. the walk and the other sequences were bad, though. Drew just looks like he would rather be anywhere else but a pitching mound.

Why did it take this long to make a mechanical adjustment to get Pomeranz back over 90 mph on his fastball?
Like couldn't anyone see this earlier?

I thought it was two hand touch, below the waist.

That’s on the Astros. Dangerous play by pitcher and first baseman.

Pomeranz back to having good stuff finally again.

Pomeranz back to having good stuff finally again. Probably still not good enough to stay in this rotation though, especially if Wright keeps being really really good.

the walk to Kemp was inexcusable. I have been patient, wanting to give the guy a chance to get back 2017, but that was weak.

I agree with jimed14 - Pomeranz is DiceK. Without the gyroball, of course.

Some team should use the strategy of never swinging at any pitch that Pomeranz throws. I bet he'd have a 50% walk rate.

It just ticks me off that the Sox coaching staff took this long to fix Pomeranz when his velocity has been dog food all year. Like the velocity drop was *that* noticeable, yet it took what 7-9 starts to fix the problem.

when you are up 1-0, you need to swing at pitches that are in the middle of the zone.

JBJ's double was 112 mph and was projected to go 422 feet.

Pedey gave home plate sliding lessons and they apparently are working.

JBJ's double was 112 mph and was projected to go 422 feet. So basically a homerun 80-90 percent of the time.
