Danny Diaz with his second HR of the season. Between Diaz, Casas, Decker, Cottam, and potentially Northcut....thats some serious power in our lower minors.

Saw that Manuel Ramirez is now on the DSL 1 squad and not the DSL 2 squad anymore. Not a huge deal but something of note lol

I think we can all agree that Danny Diaz will single handedly take the Sox farm system back to relevance by being the first prospect ever to make it from the DSL to AAA in a single season.

I can get behind this as long as he does play in AAA, unlike a certain outfielder. (The PawSox have definitely managed to milk those 9 games that Devers played for advertising images...)

Dalbec with HR #13, best in the Carolina League. It was an opposite field shot.

Strong pitching performances in Portland and Greenville tonight. 7 innings with one run for Kyle Hart. Seventh straight start with 2 ER or less. ERA down to 2.81.
Jonathan Diaz with seven scoreless innings and six Ks. And he may not even be done. Still only at 86 pitches.

Jake Thompson got the start for Salem. Tanner Houck, who was supposed to pitch tonight, looks to have been at Fenway earlier today. Not sure what's up with that.

Yes, and he pitched very well for the 2nd straight start after a rough beginning to the year. Maybe he's putting it together. Cuevas was also very good for the PawSox. 4 outstanding starts for the stateside teams tonight.

Dalbec with HR #13, best in the Carolina League. It was an opposite field shot. Seems like he’s been making more contact lately, too. Idk what’s changed but he’s certainly heated up a little. Tough park for HR too

Ockimey is starting to hit too, after a pretty slow start. 10 double, 8 HR, slugging .490 with a .385 OBP despite just a .274 BA (though that’s actually not bad at all). Huge IsoD, and IsoP over .200. Very similar to last year (almost identical), but with substantially more power. Good to see after a level jump, especially to AA. And he’s still just 22. Looking more and more like a possible .240-.250, 30 HR guy, who adds value with high OBPs. Just gotta get the defense going.

I have a random question: who makes the decisions to promote/demote prospects, or what prospects to send from Lowell to, say, Salem for a series due to injury? Is it Dombrowski? I'd imagine it's someone in the FO, but how much of a say do the coaches that are more involved in the development of the players get?

Nice to see Diaz showing off his power. Also of note, Flores has yet to strike out this season in 16 ABs. Love seeing that.

Dombrowski would only be involved with the top guys at the upper levels of the minors. Player dev staff makes the calls on other guys. Like, Dombrowski probably doesn't even know who most of the org guys are, or at least know much about them (not a dig at Dombrowski - that's probably true across the game).
