Haha! I like how Mookie just chose to homer there.

see, Mookie wasn't slumping, he'd been hitting a ton of near homers. Finally got a full hold of one.

Need a shut down inning with this rain. Too late with Pom.

Disappointing start to inning after we got back momentum.
Not ready for prime time.

Sucks he couldn't hold the lead with the rain. I'm guessing it will be tarp time at the end of 5.

Old News flash: Pomeranz sucks

Pomeranz ain’t Greg Maddox, 88 mph fastball not gonna get MLB hitters out. He wasn’t even getting MiLB batters out, should have left him in the minors (heck the O’s lineup not much more than a minor league lineup at this point).

Based on radar looks like the rain will pass. Offense should get its chances to take this game back.

Yeah, not great when it comes to the fastball. But look at how much better he looks with a nasty curve. There ie nothing good about having a poor fastball. Pomeranz showed me that the Sox need another starter tonight after a awful start against possibly the worst team in baseball.

You can't let Pom face other offenses. This was a fair chance to see how his stuff would hold up against the O's. The verdict is, someone else needs to be in that rotation spot going forward.
Pom looked exactly as he's looked in just about every start this year.

I don't see the need to go out and grab a starter, just yet. We still have 4 quality starters and we likely to win over 100 games. I would much rather get a bullpen arm.
For Pete's sake....this team has won damn near 70% of their games. It wasn't because we had 4 great starts out of every turn in the rotation.
Chillax !!!

The MASN crew is discussing unconfirmed information that Britton has been dealt to the Yankees, but the deal is pending the medical reports coming back.

Bring on Fiers. I really don't like that I'll be seeing Pomeranz in 5 days.

That is why the MFY's are going after another bullpen arm now. The market has already been established, and starters either aren't available or too expensive. I don't agree with 2nd base. Phillips, Nunez, Holt, Pedroia, one or a mix of those options should be good enough.
