They're meant to be a lot less formal than other threads on the forum, so to moderate them the same way would be silly. However, we do ask posters to maintain a certain level of decorum in these threads, and we plan on moderating the Gameday threads a little more actively this season. In particular, we ask that posters refrain from being overly repetitive with their posts (if you've made your point, let it go), refrain from monopolizing the discussion (if you are making more than a couple posts in a row, you probably need to slow down a little bit), and of course, follow the Ground Rules ( link). The point is to make these threads worth participating in and fun for all posters, from our long-time fixtures to people just signing up today. -The Management

Encarnación is eligible to come off the DL tomorrow. Would be really nice to grab the first game otherwise we will need to take two out of the next 3 to split with one of those games being an unfavorable pitching matchup. The Yankees are also in the soft spot of their schedule and could pick up ground quickly if we have a bad series.
Bummer that Devers is out for this series with four righties going.

I am a bit more edgy about this series than even the MFY series. Hoping our offense gets quickly back on track, but we will learn a lot about our team the next four days. A lot about Cleveland as well....should be fun, and a bit nerve wracking as well.

I'll say it again, I live for this s**t. Would love to see a Sale start in this series, that's the only bummer for me.

I'd be cool with a split for this series, particularly if the Sox win on Thursday afternoon as I have tickets to that game.

More innings like that Rick. Awesome 1st inning striking out Lindor and Ramirez.

And then Kinsler gets robbed on a bullet to CF.

Man, that is some good hitting Moreland to JDM. to Xander. Kluber is nasty, and they took what he gave them. Very impressive.

That fifth pitch to Kipnis was strike 3.
Edit. But, hey, I’ll take the swinging strike on pitch number 7.

This is really encouraging, because it isn’t like Kluber is not throwing good pitches. That pitch to Xander was nasty, but he went the other way beautifully.
