the curveball actually has good bite tonight. I know he has struggled and we all want it clean, but the Astros are like caged lions right now.
these will be some of the toughest outs our guys are gonna ever have to get.
We will get it done !!!

Thank God for a stupid baserunning play by Kemp and an amazing throw by the amazing Mookie. I hope the Sox can score 5 runs in the 9th so I don't have to watch Kimbrel pitch! I dont think they have the stat yet. But the out probability on that kemp hit betts throw has to be below 10 percent

Price to close it? Or do they stick with Craig? You probably give him Gurriel at least

Two run pad in the ninth. It looks like Price even if Kimbrel rested.

I don’t see the point in putting a lefty in against Gurriel and Correa right away. I think they’ll stick with Kimbrel until a man gets on. If Kemp gets up with runners on go to Price. Not sure.

I actually thought Kimbrel looked better than usual. He was throwing his curve for a strike and the Astros were just hitting good pitches.

That was a pitch to hit for Devers. Damn. That goes 500 feet if he barrels it.

Kimbrel needs to go out for the 9th. If they can't trust him with a two run lead to the bottom of their order, what are we even doing? Barnes and Brasier and hope for Betts to throw everyone out on the bases? I'm gonna guess that he's in until there's a base runner.

I actually thought Kimbrel looked better than usual. He was throwing his curve for a strike and the Astros were just hitting good pitches. The Springer hit was a legitimately good pitch. Springer will do that. It was nervewracking, though, because the Kemp hit had too much plate and the Bregman HBP missed its spot by, no exaggeration, 20+ inches.

Yeah, well that's still better than he's been lately. Baby steps I guess. I love that he's getting about 10 tries to get it right.
