I used to follow the prospects much more diligently, but from what I’ve looked at and read recently about this kid does anyone think there’s a chance he’s our closer come midway through next year? Dombrowski loves promoting young guys and seeing what they can do, and relievers can fast track more than other positions, and he seems like he has the stuff to do it. Just wondering all your thoughts on the subject

Just wondering all your thoughts on the subject The short answer for me is yes. The longer answer is, I think it’s more likely that come August, he’s getting mid/high-leverage 7th-8th spots to break him in with Brasier closing and Barnes the high-leverage multi-inning Andrew Miller type. |
