Calling fans stupid because they have witnessed under performance from Vasquez....then pimping pro Vasquez takes because he is on a hot streak....OK. I've been pro-Vazquez the whole time, just for the record. That's great....All of us want him to succeed. The point is you inferred others are stupid who don't agree.

That's great....All of us want him to succeed. The point is you inferred others are stupid who don't agree. There are people who wanted to DFA Vazquez and make Swihart the starter. How about not smart? in 200 games (many not at catcher) Swihart produced .3 bWAR. In over 300 games Vasquez has produced 1.3 bWAR. Is that a stark difference? Vasquez development path was exponentially more linear regarding the organizations handling of his development. I would make the point that he was given the keys to the kingdom, and I have seen enough of his play to be decidedly unimpressed. The organization has spoken and the players seem to have made their views known, so the decision is made. To laud a person's own judgment when a player is playing above his historical performance is......cherry picking. it really isn't about the words, people can say whatever they want, what is strange is the often compulsory exercise around here to label another person's opinion in such pejorative terms

Everybody remember to express your opinions but do it with respect for others, please. I understand it's been a tough start, but it's a long season and the club isn't without resources. Let things play out a little.

Last season he missed 2 months because he had surgery to remove loose bodies from his elbow. Is there a way to treat the problem without surgery? No but a lot of this comes down to the size and location of the fragments and how invasive the surgery is. If it's a very small body which can he scoped out the recovery time is shorter. The 10 day IL hopefully suggests it's not too bad. The 10 Day IL don't suggest much, it was either that or th 60 day IL. Eovaldi could be out a lot longer than the 10 days if he gets the surgery like he intends to.

Nice first inning for Porcello. Or by his 2019 standards, it was actually a really good inning. Keep it up Ricky.

I want Lin to permanently force his way onto the active roster starting tonight. With this plate appearance.

Morton had Red Sox luck.... bases loaded, two out and then he hits Leon. That was the killer for him.

The Rays throwback uniforms and especially their hats look like they belong on a Thursday night beer league softball team.

Now what you want to see from Porcello is no walks if possible. Which always seems to be the problem leading to big innings against him. Throw strikes and if you give up a few runs--with a 5 run lead-- so be it.
* no meatballs as well Rick!
