On a lazy rainy day something I noticed. The Diamondbacks list Swihart as an outfielder. He's hitting .179. I'm bored.

This will be Salem's first visit to the really nice looking new Fayetteville ballpark.

I'd love for someone to do the math and see how much he raised his OPS in a mere 6 PAs. Its got to be like > .150 right?

Lol at Dalbec and his ridiculousness right now. This guy is one of the most interesting prospects I have ever witnessed.

Duran has 3 ground balls to CF. He also is 3/3 with a single and two doubles, a CS, a run and 2 RBI. He's raised his BA to .412 along with everything else.

Duran took a 6 pitch walk in his 4th plate appearance (squared to bunt on the 2nd pitch), advanced to third on a single by Marco and scored another run on a single by Castellanos

I'm curious, does anyone know how Hernandez looks in the field post shoulder surgery?

Marco seems to playing a lot - he must be a better option than Nunez. Wonder if he is getting ready for a chance at Boston (would love his youth and bat if his fielding and health are OK)

Fitzgerald was on first and they do the double steal often so likely a double steal for the last out. Duran came up a second time in the 7th as the team batted around. Took another walk and came around to score. Salem is station to stationing with 9 runs scored.

Kutter with another solid outing (which is how he looks btw):
6.0IP 6H 2R 2ER 1BB 5K 1HRA
1 WP 92p / 61s 5GO / 6FO
He might be our most consistent pitcher.

Mercy play, Hardy pinch hit for Duran in the 9th (and singled)
Duran 3/3, 2 2B, 2 BB, 3R, 2 RBI

Also good to see, it appears that a comparatively high portion of their customer base are black. You don't see that much among the minor league parks.

1st Duran double was in no way a groundball. Soft liner out of the reach of the center and left fielder.
The single was a grounder up the middle that the pitcher tried to stop with his foot, third hit was a sharp liner to the left of the second baseman that hit in the infield dirt.
For those that remember the draft, Seth Beer plays for Fayetteville. Their starter, a righty, likely doesn't have many SB against, he's very fast to the plate.
Rasconi had a nice catch on a liner in RF.
Duran is now slashing .412/.469/.542/1.011
ADD: I continue to think Duran has a better arm than Ellsbury, Damon or Crisp. I'd give it a ceiling of average with more time in the outfield. It took Mookie a while after the transition from 2B to the outfield.

I’m sorry but I have to say if Duran and Dalbec don’t make MLB or BAs mid season top 100 prospect list, then the jokes on them. I find myself coming to this thread every night just to check on those two. Both incredibly entertaining in their own right. I’ve followed Red Sox minor league baseball for many years, and haven’t seen too many prospects come along with the excitement and energy of these guys. Duran may be a 75-80 speed, and his hit tool is obviously better than originally thought because he’s making a mockery out of a difficult league. Dalbec has two 70 grade tools (at least) and his glove may be a plus too. That guy gets in hot streaks like nobody else. Time for these 4th and 7th round picks to get some attention nation wide! I think both should be well within the top 100
Thanks again for the incredible job you all do with this site. Best minor league site by far. Brings me joy to be able to check this site after a long day of work. I live next to lowell so I’m hoping to catch a few spinners games this summer and give some live input. A lot of intriguing young players in Lowell this year!

A lot of intriguing young players in Lowell this year! Duran, 100% I believe should at least crack the list. Dalbec I still don't think is quite at top-100 level yet. If he doesn't have that one big game his season to date is not blowing anyone away. Granted, his ability to have those games is one of the reasons he is a prospect, but it also highlights just how quickly the narrative can change this early in the season when not much has actually changed. Maybe if they extended it to 125 I could see him being on there, but looking at some of the guys in the back of the current MLB list, I'm not sure Dalbec is quite there.
