They're meant to be a lot less formal than other threads on the forum, so to moderate them the same way would be silly. However, we do ask posters to maintain a certain level of decorum in these threads, and we plan on moderating the Gameday threads a little more actively this season. In particular, we ask that posters refrain from being overly repetitive with their posts (if you've made your point, let it go), refrain from monopolizing the discussion (if you are making more than a couple posts in a row, you probably need to slow down a little bit), and of course, follow the Ground Rules ( link). The point is to make these threads worth participating in and fun for all posters, from our long-time fixtures to people just signing up today. -The Management

JDM playing RF in this condition? Sale better K everybody. Nunez is not good enough to DH.

Based upon the first two batters, there might not be many hits. Remy just said so too.

Sorry, Eck, Freeland is not the ace for the Rockies. Marquez is the ace. We will see him tomorrow.

So apparently you have to wait 8 starts for Sale to be the best pitcher in MLB every year from now on.

Are 80% of Betts strikeout looking or only getting in a single hack in?

Wow, Sale has struck out the first five hitters. Pretty damn special.

So apparently you have to wait 8 starts for Sale to be the best pitcher in MLB every year from now on. Well he does have a 1.73 ERA in his last 4 starts while striking out 14.5 per 9 before tonight so I don't think you have to wait that long. edit - Apparently, a -2.89 FIP is as low as it gets. lol

Watch the strikeout count tonight. Pedro is pitching tonight. Haven't done this in a long time. This is when you leave to go to the fridge when the offense is hitting and not when Sale is pitching.

That mlb only raised Chavis to #63 in the top 100 after what he's done is just stupid, especially when other prospects rose more than that.

The team will have to think about putting up a 300' foul pole to gauge Chavis' HRs.

So we knew head lots of power. That’s his skill set that got him to the show. But did we know he was capable of routinely hitting tape measure jobs like this? I wasn’t aware his power game was that prodigious.

If he hit that ball in Denver, it would have been close to 500 feet

The apex of that HR was 134 feet. I bet that's one of the highest of the year.
