In regards to Gilberto Jimenez courtesy of the Athletic.
“I had a scout down there that was raving about (Jimenez),” Norris said. “(He called asking), ‘Why isn’t this guy ranked?’ He’s going to be the next breakout guy whenever he gets to a level where people can actually see him play.”

Without even the draft, there's a lot to look forward to with Lowell.
Jiminez, Flores, Northcut, Decker, Diaz.

Kyle Hart is apparently really for real starting this time.

The good news is that Hart should make his AAA debut in front of a much bigger crowd than last night. The bad news is that 95% of them will be less than twelve years old.

That's actually good news and good news. I am all for youngsters at the ballpark, but school/camp days at McCoy feature two and a half hours (the buses leave early) of constant high-pitched screaming. It's hard to describe, but about five innings in you'd sell out your whole family just to make it stop.

I'd never been consciously aware of how frequently you see the batboy until I ended up in the section at camp day where the batboy was in their class. I was, on that day, quite consciously aware of every time the batboy had a presence.

Bobby Dalbec is slumping again. Sub .200 batting average over his last 10 games and 10 Ks in his last 20 ABs.

Easily the most exciting Lowell roster in recent years I'm pumped they're in Aberdeen on a weekend (it's a hike for me and some years they don't even play them here, it seems). Kyle Hart is apparently really for real starting this time. Fun fact - in the early 90s I'm fairly certain I was briefly on an episode of Superstars taped in Worcester wearing Bret Hart sunglasses (with friends who were as well).

Like his actual sunglasses? As in you got to be "kid who Bret Hart gives his sunglasses to" that night?

LOL, a topper, I was on Rex Trailer's Boomtown wearing a coonskin cap.

4 hitless innings with 7Ks to start the game for Reyes. He's been locating his offspeed pitches really well so far today, fastball 90-91.

Reyes has struggled to start his AA career but he’s turning it around. Also important to remember that he’s 22 and already has more AA innings than he did A+. He practically skipped Salem.

Hopefully he's turning a corner. His last game was a 0 BBs 8 Ks in 6 innings gem! He finished 6 Innings so far on 66 pitches.

End of the night for Reyes, Brian Johnson on for his rehab stint. 6 innings on 66 pitches (43 for strikes), 7ks - 2 walks and 1 hit allowed. Great night for Reyes.
Strong debut for Hart in AAA so far as well.

So Brian Johnson got rocked all spring training long, then during the few games he pitched in and now during his rehabs too (every single one of them). There's a pattern here.

I'm not overly concerned yet, the silver lining is that he threw 25 pitches, 19 strikes. I'm guessing getting into form is the priority.
