Why the hell is Nunez getting meaningful at bats?! I'm usually not on the digust train but that is absolutely disgusting.

I keep asking myself why he’s still on the roster, but few clearly-superior available alternatives immediately come to mind. Still, he can’t be hitting in that spot.

Jeez...what would Hudson cost at the deadline ? A lot ?? I would guess a lot of teams will inquire, which will make it expensive.

That really sucked. Cora is prob the only person on this planet who believes in Nunez.

Benintendi is either strikeout or weak contact lately

So much for making hay out out one of the worst teams in the league. Again.

Last big Benny hit? Ks or lazy fly balls.

Last big Benny hit? Ks or lazy fly balls. Let's not forget the soft ground balls. Meanwhile, Devers makes a fantastic play at third.

Boy... Devers is becoming (or... just is) quite a player.

He’s going to be a multiple gold glover at third base.

More evidence it is just not our year...another game when many of our flaws were clearly evident.

They are making me tired just watching them. Is mediocre from Betts enough to throw everything off this much? If you told me RS would get AS caliber seasons from Boegarts, Devers, Vasquez and that wouldn't be enough combined with the mainstays of the lineup? I would be surprised.

They are often exhausting to watch this year - as in extremely frustrating. My feeling - two root causes - the way they approached and came out of spring training, and not filling the gaps left by Kimbrel and Kelly. Poor spring approach lead to unready starters - putting too much pressure on the pen early on. Inability to take leads early on (very poor first inning BA) put too much pressure on the starters to be perfect. Hitters started to press - very poor situational hitting and approach with men in scoring position - squanders like crazy. And...Nunez. Why so much Nunez? Cora is not the good decision maker he was last year (the magic has worn off)

Only caught bits and pieces of the game. Just as well. Doesn't look like I missed much as the Red Sox continue on their relentless journey to mediocrity in this oh so boring season.
The Sox staked Chris Sale to a 3-1 lead, and those 3 runs are a big outburst of offense when Sale pitches, and Sale gave it back giving up two 2-run HRs to two lousy hitters.
I don't hold his early pitching too much against him. We all get the reason why he struggled out of the gates. Then he was his old dominant self, but lately he's been struggling again.
I hope we get better from him going forward. I don't blame the Sox for dropping $145 million on him. With their farm system mostly lacking in high end starting pitching talent and thin elsewhere it's obvious they weren't getting any future pitching help from the farm (Mata seems like the only guy capable of being a mid-rotation starter right now), and it would be very costly to obtain a guy capable of high level pitching in a deal - so I was glad the Sox were able to retain Sale, but they will need him to be able to pitch like an ace more consistently.
