Chris Snow, who used to be a Red Sox and Bruins beat writer for the Globe before going on to work for the Minnesota Wild and now the Calgary Flames, was diagnosed with ALS a few months ago. I actually knew Chris a little bit back in Melrose - he didn't go to MHS but we're the same age so every so often we'd play basketball together or whatever. Melrose isn't a big place. The Globe had an article yesterday that he'd regained some motion in his wrist: ( www.boston.com/sports/sports-news/2020/02/25/chris-snow-boston-globe-flames-als) For anyone who is unfortunately familiar with the disease, that's huge.

Snow didn't write for very long, iirc, but he was excellent and I remember being quite bummed when he left to work for an NHL franchise. Hoping for the best for him.
