Love it. A guy like seabold seizing thr 4th/5th spot over signing the Richards and Perez of the world both gives the rotation more upside as well as saves them money to spend on other parts of the rotation instead of paying 6-10 million for a journeyman 4th/5th starter.

According to the Sox radio booth, Connor Seabold is on his way to Boston after being scratched from his start in Worcester today. Crawford also likely on his way.

There is good news about Seabold and also good news. First the good news. He pitched six innings today for Worcester. One hit, three walks, four Ks. That increases my sense that Seabold is coming is also good news. If he turns out to be a pitcher who can be trusted a bit, that allows the Sox to replace one of the pitchers they don’t trust.

The really good news is that the Sox clearly don't think they'll need Seabold for at least 5 more days. Just hope they get back to some sort of normal soon.
