Good afternoon everybody! We have received several inquiries about a notice that readers have been getting when trying to go to soxprospects.com. Very sorry for the inconvenience! After spending the morning on the phone with tech support, I'm told that when our new SSL security certificate was installed and updated in July, the web host did not remove the old, expired security certificate. They have since deactivated the old security certificate, so things should be fixed soon (sometimes it can take a few hours for that stuff to populate across the web). That said, some of you might still have the old security certificate cached on your computer, or you might have out-of-date URLs bookmarked. If you are still getting the issue, here are two steps you can take:
(1) If you have the site URL bookmarked to "http://www.soxprospects.com/", please update your bookmark to "https://www.soxprospects.com/" (note the https rather than http).
(2) Clear your browser's cache (usually under browsing history) and delete any cookies from soxprospects.com
Again, sorry for the inconvenience ... fingers crossed that this resolves the issue.

I'd like to add that the Electronic Frontier Foundation has browser add-on - HTTPS Everywhere - that always checks to see that a site is running secure. It did report that error and now it doesn't. Very useful for checking security on the sites you visit.

I just got the notice (clicked on Robinson Leyer's profile from the 21-60 page). First time since the fix.

Was happening to me last night going to player pages. We'll look into it.

Could be it hasn't propagated ro the entire site (or your working with older pages that your browser hasn't updated yet).

More likely the path. I almost never go from the rankings pages to a profile. I almost always go from the team rosters to the profile and no problem there.

Maybe due to reworking things but now there are editing bugs. (See the Looking forward to 2021 thread).

For those new to the problem, when you get the message, you can just reload the page.

For those new to the problem, when you get the message, you can just reload the page. Yup. Experienced the problem for the first time yesterday and that was the fix.

Contacted Yahoo about this again as I've heard some are still experiencing the issue. They think they found the fix and think it will be good to go by EOD today.

I am still periodically getting the notice. Usually when I use one of the links at the top of the page. 40 man roster for example.

Interesting, because it's pretty much stopped for me.

In this particular case, it was from a second tab. I see it about once a day but I'm not sure if it is always from a second tab.

Never went away for me either. Last time warned was 10/12. Seems to be more frequent after "dirty" entrance to site.. Like visits to multiple other websites before landing here and as mentioned previously, hitting a tab, player profile even.
One thing have done and seems to work is run ccleaner before opening browser, then come straight here. Pretty sure have -0- issues using that system.

Of the people who are reporting recurring issues, have you cleared your browser cache?

Of the people who are reporting recurring issues, have you cleared your browser cache? yes but I don't do that every day, but I have a couple of times since your post about Yahoo.

I've been laying in the weeds for several years on these boards.
Not that this is at all helpful but I've been dealing with the same authentification issues for about a month.
Clear my cache daily by habit so not sure if something more nefarious is afoot.
