Nick Yorke got pulled in the third inning, not sure why. He was ejected for arguing balls and strikes. Had a long AB that ended in a called third strike so presumably was unhappy about that. Prefer that to an injury for sure

Really tough outing for Wu-Yelland. Can't make it out of the third inning after giving up two hits and walking four.

Casas with an 11 pitch walk. The quality of his At Bats alone makes him the top hitting prospect in the farm.

Today's hot take is that Triston Casas is already the guy that should be starting at 1B for the Red Sox if short term wins were the only thing they cared about.

Groome with a tough outing, too: 4IP, 8H, 4R(2ER), 1BB, 4K (76 pitches, 52 strikes)

29% K, 10% BB, 2.6% HR 28% K, 10% BB, 2.8% HR is league average

It has always seemed to me that it is very difficult for an umpire positioned to the batter's side to properly judge 'outside' pitches. I'm surprised that there isn't a SOP...but rather a seeming deference to preference.

I was taught to set up over the catcher's batter-side shoulder when I got patched. After a very quick skim of Pitching Ninja, that is clearly how MLB umps set up as well.
