FG now has Arroyo with a wRC+ of 111. That's a huge value for a middle IF making $582K.
The more time CB has to build a roster, the more guys like this he's going to find. These sorts of acquisitions and a couple of solid drafts will put the RS in a position where they'll no longer have to pay unproductive vets to fill out a roster.

Or Dalbec among those that could be replaced. Can Arroyo play first base? Seriously, though, I would like to see the lineup solidified with Arroyo at 2B and Duran in the OF. Bobby stays because there is no replacement. And he just might become Devers-like. If not, he is just a placeholder for Casas ( he says with fingers crossed).

Workman just can't walk a leadoff batter. Inexcusable.

Relief catching is very under appreciated in baseball.

I was hopeful but Workman isn’t the answer

Up until today Dalbec was hitting well for two weeks.
You can live with a Dalbec in your lineup, you just can’t live with him + Marwin + Santana at the same time.

Workman just can't walk a leadoff batter. Inexcusable. At this point I think he's a clear step below the AAA/waiver wire depth guys that should be floating in and out of the back of the pen.

Oh, to have relievers who can consistently throw strikes....

I had no idea that Darwinzon had a good ERA this year.

D-Hern reminds me of what I heard a broadcaster say years ago about World B. Free of the 76ers: "He keeps both teams in the game with his shooting."
D-Hern overpowers guys with the FB to get out of jams. But he gives you a heart attack by creating traffic on the bases with walks. He's a thrill a minute to watch.

Yo did you really just take the guy with the coolest name on the team and call him "D-Hern?" Ughhhhh.

Yo did you really just take the guy with the coolest name on the team and call him "D-Hern?" Ughhhhh. Nah, that's not the coolest name on the team. The RS of this era are going to produce the first HOFers in history named Xander and Rafael. I'm just not sure either one will go in as a RS.

Taylor's slider is getting stupid looking swings just like Barnes' curveball.

Raffy special: Great and pretty dreadful in the same play. That was a hell of a stab to start.

Great win...but shaky for sure. Only pitchers who really distinguished themselves - Rios (big out for his Sox debut) and Taylor.
Too many walks, too many hits. And Richards....ugh.
But Arroyo!!! And we are now just 1 game behind Tampa. Tomorrow is a badly needed day off!

team went 10-7 in this really tough 17-game stretch, and I believe we were probably outscored by a bunch
