Hell yeah Kiké. Nobody gets to say anything bad about Kiké for the rest of the season.

I like Kiké's hot streak more this time because he is swinging at strikes and not hacking at bad pitches. Can't help but wonder if Cora got in his ear about being more selective at the plate.

Is the plan Darwinzon in the 8th and Ottavino in the 9th? Thought they'd pitch DH in the 7th and JT in the 8th.

I might rather see Yack Daddy than Darwinzon given the latter’s tendency to walk guys.

I think Cora knows his starters shouldn't be in there the third time through the order, but sometimes its a 6 run game so who cares and sometimes the pen really needs a break. I think sticking with Richards tonight was about managing the emotions of a pitcher who is a little bit of a headcase at the moment. If your main concern was managing his emotions, then getting him out of there in a positive state of mind after a 5 inning, 1 run performance, rather than risk sending him out while tiring against hitters who had seen him twice, would have been the no-brainer play.

He was warming up. I imagine that Cora has been talking to him for days about pitching in high leverage, and the team's confidence in him. They may not do that today, but that they had him warming tells you it's part pf the plan.

The official "will Kiké or Mookie have a better year" thread should begin

man thats like the 3rd or 4th ball Renfroe's hit to the warning track this series, just missing it.

The official "will Kiké or Mookie have a better year" thread should begin Easy. Actually the real question is: will Verdugo be their third best outfielder?

Red Sox bullpen has simply been amazing this year. That would be a fine comment to make AFTER the game is won. Ouch.

Rios is kind of interesting, but this wasn't the spot for him
