Hickey and Kavadas in the lineup for the FCL team - no Mayer.

No Nathanael Cruz this week (he normally pitches on Friday), which isn't surprising given he was pulled after the second batter last week and is probably dealing with some injury. Henry Nunez getting the start.

Is it too early to talk about getting Bleis up to the FCL?

Eduard Bazardo was sent on a rehab assignment to the FCL today.

Someone that's gone a little under the radar down in the DSL is Francis Hernandez, who has gone: 24.1 IP, 15H, 4ER, 6BB, 23K. He's a little old for the DSL (19), but got a six figure bonus in the 19-20 signing period so he's at least worth keeping track of.

Is it too early to talk about getting Bleis up to the FCL? With the bonus + the stats he seems destined for stateside, but who the Sox are high on at the DSL I feel like has a lot more to do with things we can't see than at other levels.

That said, he literally has only 26 PAs down there to date. 26! Devers (174 PAs) and Bogaerts (280 PAs) got significantly more time in the DSL before coming stateside. I'm not saying he'll be handled exactly the same way but this question seems a tad premature.

Bleis is also still extremely young. I don't know where he would fall in years past, but he's the youngest guy currently playing in the system. All of the other DSL guys, even the other 17 year olds, are older than him.
*There's one guy (Andy Lugo) younger than him under contract but he hasn't played any games yet.

I'm going to guess that Schwarber plays one game at 1B and one at DH.

Jedixson Paez has also been pretty solid so far this year: 21IP, 16H, 7ER, 4BB, 26K.

Posted this on another thread, but not sure if it was seen.
Saw some errors in a few transactions that were posted recently:
SP shows that the Sox released Jesus Marrero, Robinson Montero, Beiker Pineda, Wilker Vargas, and Irvin Villarroel. However, they were all put on the Reserve List per MiLB transactions.
SP shows that the Sox placed Kawan Silva on the Restricted List. However, he retired per MiLB transactions.

I am confident that it's milb who is incorrect on the first group. On the latter, the retirement thing is really weird. Again, got good information in July that he was on Restricted List.

Jimenez get moved a lot in the OF: Despite Rafaela playing ss today, he's playing in left while Maita is in center. Usually they stick with a prospect in the same position no matter how tentative his defense is in there especially in the low minors.

Downs 2/3 in the first game of the double header Hopefully he starts to trend in that direction. Tough to watch a kid that talented struggle like he has this yr.

WooSox blew an 8-0 lead in the opener.
Brasier 0.2 IP, 5 H, 5 ER, K Ort IP, 4 H, 4 ER, 2 K
Hope they're saving their best stuff for Fenway...

any word on Brasier's issues - control, velocity, etc? Pretty brutal line there, not ready for Fenway yet it seems

Yairo 3/4 in the first game to extend his hitting streak to a franchise (majors and minors) record 34 games, tying Dom Dimaggio.
Currently 0/2 in the 6th inning of the nightcap (a 7-inning game). In the 5th a new Syracuse pitcher threw four balls so far out of the zone that even Yairo didn't swing at any of them. He will definitely get another AB.
