This is an unbelievably good site, and I cannot believe the quality and depth of the information it provides, and all in all I find it sort of miraculous. So it is with only the deepest humility that I mention that one feature that would be interesting to add would be a record of scouting grades as they were given at the time in the rankings history. It would make the comparison between, say, a top 3 of Moncada/Benintendi/Devers in 2016 and a top 3 of Groome/Chavis/Mata in 2017 that much more informative.
Not trying to suggest anyone needs to do more work than you all already do on this site! Just a thought, if you're looking for a project... You familiar with archive.org?

My goodness, 2013... On the one hand, what a ridiculous crop: 9 guys rated 6 or above, and Mookie wasn't even in the top 20! On the other hand, 6 of those 6's were pitchers - Owens, Webster, De La Rosa, Ranaudo, Ball, and Barnes - who collectively amounted to... well, Matt Barnes. Was it just bad luck, or was there something systemically screwy going on with the org's pitcher development at the time?

To be clear, we haven't always used the same grade scale - you'll want to reference the about.htm page at the time to make sure you're not comparing apples and cantaloupes.
Archive.org has a pretty great chrome app as well. I use it with site pages all the time.

FYI, the SoxProspects News page is going to be in rebuilding mode for the next few days to a week. During that time the formatting is not going to look great. The plan is for it to eventually mirror the formatting of the rest of the newly redesigned site, we're just working on it in waves. The issue is that the page is actually on Google Blogger which uses its own platform and coding that doesn't exactly parallel standard HTML coding. There is no sandbox to test stuff in the background, and the "preview changes" function is not working. So we're basically making one small change at a time while working in a different coding language than we're used to. It's a real treat.

The update of the News page is going smoother than expected, fingers crossed.
We'll also be working on the Forum in the coming days. The template and the formatting may be off here and there this week.

I like the new layout, but have one quibble. In the Sox Prospect News could you put the dates of the posts like the old format?

A couple of things.
—In the recent new format, you only list ten discussion topics. Would it be possible to make the list longer? That longer list does not need to be entirely visible, but it would make things easier if the list were scrollable.
—Unless I am doing something wrong, every time I leave the site to look something up, find a slash line, identify a source, etc, I find that I need to sign back in. One idea might be a time limit for non-activity. That is how my biz site works. My banking act also has that same capability. BUT, if that is unworkable through your format, then having a SIGN IN button/link on the home page would be helpful.
Do please keep up the good work. Thanks.

Are you talking about logging into the forum? I think it might be something on your end, as I can't remember the last time I logged in on either my laptop or phone.

Yes, logging in to the Forum on my iPhone. I will look through Settings to see what I can find. No help. I was thinking that I should reload the site. Could not find it in the App Store. Is there a place to get a fresh copy short of simply going the site and having the phone load it that way. In the meantime, it would save me a couple of steps each visit, if there were a login link on the homepage.

Is there a good way to show on the main page what the date of the prior ranks are? For example right now Nick Yorke shows his rank as "3 (10)" and I don't easily know when the 10 was from. The old site used to show something like "Rank (4/1 Rank)" or something similar so we knew the pedigree of the parenthetical prior rank.

I can't speak to any changes, but the parenthetical rankings are always a reference to the first rankings of the given season. Typically it's ~4/1 but this past year it was 5/3. You can confirm this if you scroll down and look at the rankings history on left sidebar.

If you look at the "Legend" on the right side of the page, it indicates the date of both of the ranks.
