Tre’Davious White with what appeared to be a non-contact knee injury. Would be a huge loss for the Bills. Damn shame. Prayers up for a full recovery!

I think the better question is what do the Patriots do at 15 if the Bears took Mac Jones, do we take Fields given he's available? That's the type of crap my brain spends way too much time on. That is a great alternative history type questions (like what if the Axis won WWII.) Do they draft Fields and give Cam another year? I dont see Fields beating out Cam for the starting job in 2021. Or do they trade down with the WFT or the Steelers or the Texans!, take Mills in the 3rd, and then Cam starts. Do they trade their 2nd round pick for Jimmy G? I dont think at the time of the 2021 draft any QB projected to be in the 2022 draft projected to be a significantly better fit than Fields or Jimmy G. Howell maybe? Yes they got lucky... or they knew that given a choice at QB the Bears go with the guy who looks great on the highlight reel.

I think Fields is a lot more suited to the Pats offense that he is to whatever the Bears are running. He is still pretty high efficiency and strong in the 11 to 20 range based on OSU work. I doubt he can process at the line like Mac but Mac seems like a savant at that. If Bill can work with Cam and nearly succeed with him I'm guessing he would have been fine with Fields. But yeah, guessing Mac was higher on their board.

Bedard had an interesting tidbit in his article yesterday where he was exploring what may or may not happen with McDaniels (leave or stay) after this season. He mentioned that Bill made the playbook permanent, meaning it won’t change based on the coordinator.
Also mentioned a decent chance Bill O’Brien could return:

Barmore and Brown both missed practice yesterday - not great.

If you're Josh McDaniels do you leave now? It would have to be so great team right? Bills end date is getting close and you now have a QB of the future now. If Andy Reid retires or something like that, yeah he's likely gone. Yet at this point Josh McDaniels sure seems like a head coach in waiting for me and the job just got a lot better.
I'd love to know how involved Josh has become given the reports when he backed out of the Colts job.

It's a little concerning to look at who is behind him and not see anyone that sticks out as a replacement. Who knows maybe their is a handshake deal that keeps him here but how long is he willing to wait, he is a young man still. Maybe Brian Hoyer is a future candidate for OC, been in and out of the system for a long time and I am sure he has learned a lot from all the other systems he has been in. Who knows if he has any interest but seems like the perfect candidate to be a OC. I would think he wouldn't need too much time as an asst. to be ready for it.

I also have no idea how long Bill is going to stay and if you’re Josh can you trust if Bill says 3 year it will only be 3 years? Josh will be 46 next year, hardly old but certainly not a kid anymore either. The argument for leaving now is he’s at peak value.

I feel like at this point the Titans game is almost a must-win given how depleted they are and how bunched up the AFC is. It would really stink to lose that especially going into Buffalo next week - wouldn't be shocked if they end up with the 1 seed or miss the playoffs entirely. Love the parody this year so far in the NFL (AFC in particular).

Titans are not only missing their top 3 offensive play makers but have big losses on the defensive side of the ball also. Then if you look back to the beginning of the season they have lost 6,7 other guys to the IL that haven't come back. Kudos to them for still winning a bunch of games but they are seriously into the depth of the team at this point. This could be another 20 point win for the Pats if they play the same way they have been. Keep that one game at a time mentality and good things happen.

That drive right there sums up why McDaniels - who’s clearly a really good OC - is so frustrating.
The Pats offense is absolutely cooking, and then for no reason, he decides to switch things up and go to back-to-back run plays near the end zone.

Wasn't pretty but pulled away at the end - Ravens lose gives the Pats the 1 seed I believe. On to Buffalo...

To be fair that first run was a check by Mac, but i don’t know why they’d run on second down after that.

They did a lot of running into a brick wall up the middle today and couldn’t stop the run, and the game was a lot closer than the final score. But Mac had some nice intermediate throws and the defense made big plays when it mattered.

Best win in two years by a mile. They’ve had better overall performances this season, but they just dominated a good team all game - even if the score didn’t reflect that until late.

They ended the day with a decent rushing line. They stuck with it and ended up with some success
Mac did well for his first taste of cold weather. Bourne is awesome

But Mac had some nice intermediate throws and the defense made big plays when it mattered. I think the opposite - they had to settle for five FG and six FG attempts and gave up one 70 yard TD run late in the first half. This game could have, and probably should have, been a complete blowout... They hurt themselves early - but this Titans team was entirely overmatched.

Hard to give yourself credit for not scoring TDs.

However you care to look at it in regards to how close the game really was doesn't change the fact it was a really really good win. I know for me I never felt like the Pats were going to lose the game at any point. They won by 23 and sure some of it was junk at the end of the game but that is their average over this win streak.
The important thing to me was that yes the Titans did a good job early in stopping the run but Mac was still able to move the sticks and get the Pats in a position to score. Lets not act like spoiled Pats fans and minimize the fact that they have won 6 in a row and have outdone expectations. Mac probably had his best game as a Patriot and his progress as a rookie has been remarkable.

I’ve never seen a team get dominated in the trenches and win a blowout like the New England Patriots did today. They got absolutely manhandled up front. Not good, and that has to change ASAP.
On the other hand, the secondary was still awesome, Mac played well in his first cold weather game (ever?), and the offensive weapons were good across the board.
