My brain is still occupied trying to figure out if Dalbec is legit that good. I mean...I like it a lot...but how did this happen? Did he just wake up one day and say "well that's it! I figured out major league pitching! Now I'll just double my OPS" my brain just does not compute...remember the 2 months everyone and their mother (CB and his mother included) was looking for a replacement? Dalbec isn't a random Joe. He was historically awesome when he first came up and he was a somewhat well regarded prospect. True, with him it came down to "can he make enough contact"... He couldn't...and now he just can...just like that...did he change something, or did something "just click"?

Velocity was down too. Let’s hope it’s something minor.

Pec injury is pretty weird for a pitcher isn't it?
Just hope it's not a big time elbow/shoulder thing that lingers to next year.

I like my Sawamura appearances to come when the tying run is in the hole, not at the plate.

We will be extremely lucky to be in the lead after this half inning. Sawaruma is in straight garbage mode

Sawamura is trash. Worse than 2-1 K/BB, tons of home runs. Wasn't even that good in Japan.

Hope Whitlock will be ok. Sawamura really torched this inning. Hope the offense wakes up. Blowing this game would not be acceptable.

Why not keep Eovaldi in? At 78 pitches, bottom of the lineup, save Whitlock for the 7th/8th. This is the Cora curse. No faith that a five pitch pitcher can work beyond five. If we lose this, Cora is the reason.

Not good body language there between Cora and the medical staff. Lots of head shaking.

Bloom should put Dalbec as the 2022 1B in permanent ink, but i would love to see Travis Shaw signed as a occasional sub at 1B, 2B, 3B, and left handed bat off the bench. I would love to see Iglesias resigned as well. But we only just got rid of Franchy and Marwin, why you want to bring them back?
Incidentally, signing Iglesias as a desperation replacement and then having him hit .407 with a 1.060 OPS is some real Yankees-style black magic. One of the surest signs that the worm has turned on the Sox' bad luck streak. (But still... he's basically Marwin.)
Iglesias has 26 doubles, 9 HRs, .265 BA, and .691 OPS. He is not Marwin.
