Could we really relive 2018 - road through Houston....and then possibly through LA? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) Nope - not going to go there. One game at a time!

Who on the team has NOT been a huge part of post season success at this point? Just an amazing huge team effort. I know it's a rhetorical question but I think Bobby D is your answer...
Go get 'em in Houston/Chicago, Bobby!

Too late… there was never this much angst that year. This is something else altogether. Its own kinda special.

One of the biggest mistakes in judgment in my lifetime of RS fanatacism: hating the KKH signing. That guy just flat-out balls.

I do not understand much about what Cora did in the 8th and 9th. Whitlock too late. Dalbec for "D" then pinch hitting with Shaw? Waiting 2 bases to bring in Santana? But damned if that guy isn't some coaching wizard. His players looove him and play loose even as the rest of us are squeezing to keep our guts in. I love that the team that was so fun in April and May is still so fun now even with the travails of the summer. Guess the 2021 Sox are just the Boys of Spring and Fall... Totally agree, we got lucky right there. Brasier’s peripherals aren’t great and this was a “gut” decision, but Cora’s been great. It was against the bottom of the order, so that’s the rationale but oh boy did that almost ruin it

Before the playoffs, my dream scenario was to get the MFY in the WC, the Rays in the ALDS and the Astros in the ALCS. So far, so good. Go Sox!

What a freaking bunting clinic by Arroyo, don't forget that! That's a tough bunt, too - high pitch and you have to get it down. Key play, obviously, but very challenging.

Prolly should've tapped Whitlock there but you had to think Brasier would get at least one out the way he's been pitching.

Garrett Whitlock looks like he's kinda embarrassed by all this celebrating. He just wants to go home to his quiet apartment and get back to reading The Brothers Karamazov

I have to admit that I didnât like their chances coming into this series and liked their chances even less after game 1. All of a sudden, I like their chances of getting to the WS a LOT.
It doesnât hurt that this team actually has a lot of likable guys, starting with Kiké.

It would be awesome if Chicago could extend that series and make Houston pitxhers work and give us rest and chance to set our rotation

This team just scraps. It does not always look pretty, but my god. I am inspired by this squad. Feeling so grateful to be watching them. Didn’t even need 5 games against TB. I love this sport and this team so much. Overwhelming joy at the moment.

Prolly should've tapped Whitlock there but you had to think Brasier would get at least one out the way he's been pitching. I’ve felt conflicted about Brasier since 2018. When he commands the fastball up, he can strike out the side. The problem is his fastball is as straight as an arrow, so it’s always a tightrope. I do like using him coming in with runners on since he’s a strike thrower. He should basically be used the exact opposite of Darwinzon lol
