Cora may have gotten greedy with Sale here.

And that should about do it. That's why offensive opportunities must be seized. That's the part of the momentum argument I kind of believe in.

That was truly shocking by Cora. Wow. My word. I’m sort of speechless.

Sale only gave up hits to Alvarez, and that’s really Vazquez being a moron. Like this guy did his damage on fastballs the first 2 ABs and you go first pitch fastball? I freaking called it before the first pitch. He’s such an idiot behind the plate

Wasn’t everyone here saying we should have let Pivetta pitch the third time through last night? But now you want to pull the ace of the staff? You can’t just decide after the outcome whether a bad decision was made.

That's on Cora...when he walked the first batter he needed to be pulled

How do you pitch to Alvarez with first base open after he hit a 103.8 MPH HR and a 106.7 MPH wall-ball single, both barrels according to statcast.
He didn't barrel this one, but it just seems so risky to pitch to him with Sale. He's the only guy today that has hit Sale.

Not just that, but a first pitch fastball…just throw a few sliders and then intentionally walk him if it doesn’t work (Correa on deck is a fear factor)

Different people say different things on the board, you can't group them together and say that the opinion of the board is flip-flopping.

Side note: the increasingly relentless gambling promotion on all sports broadcasts is gross.

Plawecki should have started tonight against Valdez, nevermind that he would call a better game than Vazquez

Is it Perez time yet? Save the pen for the two must-win games in Houston. This has become extremely low-leverage in a hurry.

Once Diaz gift wrapped that at bat to Castro last night you could see the light come on for the Houston offense. Sale did a good job holding them down minus Alvarez but this offense is wide awake now.
