Lights out. You knew with 2 ours they'd give it up just like they have the whole entire series.
The Astros with their killongv2 out runs have gotten revenge on the 2018 Red Sox whi did the same to them.

Garbage ball park garbage ball park garbage ball park. That's a single in Fenway.

Kinda pissed that Houck didn’t get to close it out, but we had to let our bullpen suck one more time

Does that actually matter? The Sox had plenty of opportunities to hit 287 foot homers and failed to do so. Either way it counts and the Sox are done.

Can’t complain about short homers. Maybe Sox shoulda popped a few cheapies?

Outscored 23-3 in the last three games (two of them at Fenway is an embarrassment. We did great to get here, the series started fine - but how we folded in the last three games is a bit of a mystery. Team hit a wall, I guess.
Sad, but unexpectedly fun ride. Oh well...

It’s been a helluva year. The Sox played their hearts out and did way better than any of us expected.
If you ever get down about this series remember the Sox took out the Yankees and Rays 😏
Til next year ✌🏽

If they made the Green Monster 10 feet tall, it would still be harder to hit in than this garbage ball park.

Offense went into a deep, deep, deep funk. Unfortunate timing.

Can’t complain about short homers. Maybe Sox shoulda popped a few cheapies? Maybe if you can choose to hit cheap home runs instead of lucking into them, that's a legitimate comment.

At least we’re getting a full bullpen overhaul. It’s kind of incredible that we made it this far with literally one competent reliever in Whitlock who was a rule 5 pick. I’ll give Taylor credit too, but yea it was definitely rough to piece together

Can’t complain about short homers. Maybe Sox shoulda popped a few cheapies? Exactly. It's not like the they move the fences back when the Sox hit. 3 years ago Devers hit a cheapie into the Crawford boxes for a 3 run HR that was the difference in the pennant clincher. Didn't see anybody whine about that.

Horrible bullpen management by Cora in this series.
Lost game 1 because he used Sawamura and Perez instead of Whitlock in the 9th when losing by a run.
Now with 2 Men on base in the last inning of a do or die game, he brings in Ottavino instead of Whitlock.
Whitlock should be good for three innings in game 7. Oh wait

Maybe I am stuck in the moment. But for a team that made the ALCS and has certainly exceeded reasonable expectations, this one has been mostly excruciating to watch. Not sure if it is their style of play or the volatility of their performance or what, but I’ve actually enjoyed this season less than any in recent memory despite the team’s success.

I really enjoy Cora as the manager but to be fair dusty ran circles around him these last 3 games

On the one hand I want to see our 2-3-4 put up a good last stand, but I'm not sure I can withstand a third "if only they got out of the 8th" game.

Didn't see anybody whine about that. Yeah exactly the problem with the Tucker home run was the fastball middle middle, not the luck. That’s off the monster at Fenway, probably for 2 runs, so who cares? And Gurriel got a hit anyway, so it didn’t matter haha.
