So far, the A's, Marlins and Reds have been mentioned as possibly moving some starters, and here are a few names I've heard mentioned.
After JD opted in, it looks like the Sox would have $28,500,000 under the old agreement, I would assume it will be higher if they can agree on a new one. And if Erod accepts the QO, the room under the CBT comes down to roughly $10,000,000. I really don't see them blowing by the CBT for 2022, and wait out the market for bargains in free agency. However, I do think we'll see Bloom deal from some of the prospect capital he's acquired.
The arb figures are from the cots website. And I've put what I think would be reasonable costs in parenthesis, although I may be way off. I'm not advocating the Sox should make these deals, just putting what I think might be close. For me, I think I would make any of these deals below with the Marlins, and probably the deal for Montas. Would any of you make any of these deals and who would you target? I personally would not move Casas, Mayer, Yorke or Jimenez unless a team severely overpaid.
A's
lhp, Manaea, 1 year, $10,000,000 (Downs, Winckowski) rhp, Bassitt, 1 year, $8,000,000 (Downs, Winckowski) rhp, Montas, 2 years, $5,050,000 (Duran, Dalbec, Winckowski)
Reds
rhp, Castillo, 2 years, $8,000,000 (Duran, Dalbec, Downs, Winckowski)
Marlins
rhp, Alacantra, 3 years, $4,000,000 (Duran, Dalbec, Downs, Winckowski) rhp, Lopez, 3 years, $3,750,000 (Duran, Dalbec, Downs, Winckowski) rhp, Hernandez, 3 years, $1,500,000 (Winckowski, Rosario)

The 2021-2022 edition of mlbtraderumors.com fifty top free agents with predictions was published today. Always an interesting read with a history of close to accurate predictions. E-Rod and Schwarber ranked 13 and 14th respectively. Nice job by Tim Dierkes and team as usual.
Today’s edition also opines about the depth of the Marlins pitching staff and the possibility of moving young experienced starters to fill holes at catcher and outfield. Hunter Renfroe would be a sell high candidate that could interest Jeter & Co. maybe include his namesake. Backfill on Hunter with a FA such as Suzuki or Avisail for example.

Could Bloom pull off a trade for Tyler Glasnow? Most likely out all of '22, arbitration eligible for '22 & '23 & just turned 28 yrs old.

He also had Tommy John about halfway through the season so likely won't be available this year. I dont see much of a fit there unless they are okay in going over the tax and he comes cheap in terms of prospects.

I think Verdugo could be used as trade chip to either get a cost controlled guy or a handful of pitching prospects. He’s a good player, cheap but corner OF types are easier for us to sign on the open market.

Bosoxinjection listed a trade that was deemed quasi-reasonable by the trade values simulator. They list Miami giving up Pablo Lopez, Dax Fulton, and Braxton Garrett in exchange for Dalbec, Duran, and Jimenez. I don't hate that trade, and it's listed as a major overpay on Miami's part, but, if you add in taking Anthony Bass' contract (listed as -$4m in the simulator) from Miami, it turns into a moderate overpay. I'd be fine including Potts and/or Rosario in the deal, as they both have a decent value in the sim and they need to come off the 40-man anyway. Adding them both in makes it a minor overpay for Miami. You factor in the salary "relief" Miami gets offloading Bass' contract, as well as not having to pay Lopez' Arb years, and swapping some good young pitching prospects (that they grow on trees down there) for some position players with high upside and a couple of wildcards, and maybe they're into it. Dalbec seems like the odd man out eventually anyway, so if you can use him as a valuable chip now, I'm for it. Duran scares me as major leaguer. I just don't think he'll live up to the "Sizemore-type" hype he gets, but if you can capitalize on that hype before he potentially busts, I'd make that call. Jimenez is honestly the one I feel the most dubious about including in a deal, but he's still in A ball and has had his fair share of struggles already, so I'd pull the trigger and hope he can work things out in Miami's farm system. Potts and Rosario are in this deal to fulfill what they were brought into the organization to do (in my opinion, anyway) and provide depth, not only throughout the rosters, but in trade. The ability to add in a couple of depth pieces that have no future in your organization isn't an unvaluable thing. bosoxinjection.com/2021/11/09/red-sox-stock-pitching-trading-marlins/amp/Of course, this is extremely unlikely, but it's just a fun way to fill time in the off-season.

I think one of the ways to get the pitching the team will need for '22 is through trades. But who to trade & who for? Let's see some ideas;
J.D. Martinez & $5m to Philadelphia for Francisco Morales

Boyd had flexor tendon surgery in late 2021 but should recover by ST 2022/ with the projected 7m arb-3 salary/ 2 reasons for non-tender. Boyd has no options left but he has 4 mlb-quality pitches / projected for 1.2 fwar in 2022 and would be insurance

Tigers looking to compete. Not looking to trade away pieces. They're literally cutting him Ohh okay. Yeah he suffered a arm injury and won't pitch until June. He's roughly a league average starter. I don't know? Starter depth? Minor league deal? Not sure why he's desired if he's out until June?
