All that workload management made his wrist sore?

So a 19-year-old got too much time to himself that he didn't know what to do with and now his wrist is sore.

Groome might be done after 5 innings and 78 pitches. So far, 5 IP, 4 H, 2 R (1ER), 0 BB, 9 Ks. Only real blemish was a two run home run in the third. Other than that, he’s been pretty lights out. Retired the last eight batters in a row after the home run.
EDIT: He’s still in there. This will be his longest start so far this season. Let’s see how he finishes.
Ended up getting the first two batters before getting pulled. 5.2 IP, 4 H, 2 R (1 ER), 0 BB, 10 Ks. Got the last ten batters in a row. Not too shabby

Jay Groome got jealous from all those Ks his teammates Bello and Walter are amassing so he started racking them tonight. 9 K, 0 BB through 5 IP

So basically Groome has just one bad outing through AA so far and he's been good to lights out the rest of the way including last year.

What was he throwing does anyone know?
I think if they replaced the AA pitching with the AAA. That team would be unbeatable.

Meanwhile, the Greenville bats have hit the snooze button the last 4 games with 5 runs on 15 hits combined at Hickory (TEX).
Either those Rangers farmhands are pitching lights out (one is Ian Anderson's twin brother) or those Asheville Tourist pitchers that the Drive hitters hammered really stink.
Well, the Tourists (who are now 3-17) continue to give up double-digit runs pretty often, so maybe that was the bigger part of it.

I've been in Hickory for the past two games. It's hard to tell if they've run into good pitching or if they are just slumping, in reality it's probably a mix of both. Englert looked good but doesn't K too many, tonight he got 10K. Owen White was looking good last night though. Tekoah Roby tomorrow will be tough too.
Nick Northcut last night and Joe Davis tonight with the only offense. Northcut's HR was a rocket, he turned on a 95 MPH Owen White fastball and got all of it. Joe Davis was more of a Cartlon Fisk variety, just going fair. Exit velo 97 MPH, launch angle 29. Scott had the best contact of the night later that inning with a 101 EV that the CF tracked down on the run in left-center. Yorke finally squared one up late tonight too for a 102 EV 8 degree launch angle lineout right at the third baseman. There really wasn't much else, Rafaela got a couple singles drop in over short.
On defense, Rafaela is the real deal. First play tonight was a hard hit to his left up the middle that he dove for and got the runner out with ease. I can see why Ian and Chris on the podcast listed him as the highest floor because that defense can play now. Yorke had a nice play up the middle too, sliding to his right then getting up and throwing the runner out.
I'll confirm that Jimenez is swinging at everything, first at bat I saw was 3 pitches 3 swings 3 misses and he struck out the first 5 times I saw him. But Owen White was tough last night pushing 94/95 constantly, he even got Yorke caught guessing on his strikeout. Englert tonight was mixing his pitches well too.
Also, Ian's scouting reports on the pitchers are spot on, so not much more to add. Liu was pushing 94 consistently, I have a note he hit 96 once. The one thing I saw different than the scouting report was his slider, it was much better tonight and came in harder at 87-89. He got hit a bit in the 4th and couldn't close the inning, but he looked really good up to that point.
Side note - Hickory has quite the superfan. Tonight he brought a bag of York Peppermint patties and tossed them out when Nick Yorke struck out. He also gave a lucky fan a can of Sloppy Joes when Joe Davis struck out.
