What are the odds that Pivetta does not start the sixth? Have not heard that anyone is warming up. How about finishing the sixth? Working into the seventh? i think the statement of doing this is more important than the outcome, as crazy as that seems.

Paxton having physical issues? I am Casablanca-levels of shocked. Sox could’ve dropped $6 million out of a plane. Sale having physical issues? I am Casablanca-levels of shocked. Sox could've dropped $145 million out of a plane. this is so interesting. The Sale contract had big risk looking back on it, no doubt. And the outcome is bad for the Sox and really won't end up great . If the choice was given to me, on this day though, I would still prefer to give Sale the deal and not Paxton.

Every AB with RISP is like pulling teeth. I gotta say, modern dentistry has come a long way. I just got wisdom tooth pulled (been there a long time) and there was no pain at all. LOL. Now granted, it was already loose, but by time the novocaine was working, it was no problem

Look at this way, yeah the Sale contract appears to be epic disaster but, they got a ring out of it, and whenever you feel depressed you can go online and watch Sale corkscrew Machado into the ground for the final out 2018 WS.

Love the guy.

The contract came after the WS win - and after an ominous decline in velocity toward the end of his last healthy season.

Call me crazy and obviously the contract has not panned out but I really have no problem with the sale deal. 5 years 150 is obviously a lot but compared to Strasburg and some otber pitcher deals since then, eh not really that bad. I may change my stance by the end of it but I think there's still plenty of time for sale to make it look like a good contract. Even if he doesn't well at least it's not really that long of a deal.

Most predictable collapse of all time
Edit: I also hate infield in here. 1-1 you can live with when the inning starts second and third. 2-1 you cannot.

Another day another blown save in the 9th. Strahm seems to be the best reliever right now, why in the world did they pull him?
