Bottom of the order damage....then bring in Barnes for the Save. I'm like hot butter on your breakfast toast.
I was joking on the 2nd part though. Ha.

When I expressed confidence in bullpen, it was not an endorsement of Barnes.

Let's go Matt. 3 outs. Don't nibble, trust your stuff.

Anybody know what their record is in the games Bobby D has an RBI, off the top of your head?

What a lucky save. Lol Barnes left like 3 hanging breaking balls and gave up 2 line shots. Yikes.

Four games from .500. Some optimism warranted.

Happy for the results because for this particular game that's all that matters. I think everybody here is smart enough to know that he's not an effective pitcher.

How can you say that after a 1-2-3 inning? You are either trolling or very obtuse or both. He got them the three outs they needed. Which means they won, which is the desired result last I checked. If you want to do a deep dive analysis to prove why he was lucky and isn't good you're wasting everybody's time. Not everybody is as stupid as you need to make them out to be. We all know he has been lousy and got lucky tonight. Does that mean the win cannot be enjoyed?

I tried to mention this during the 9th inning but I was having some computer issues...Not trying to pile on Barnes but did anyone else notice how violently he was jerking his head around with each pitch? Obviously got the job done so I guess that is an improvement but something looked very different. Never noticed that before.

What a lucky save. Lol Barnes left like 3 hanging breaking balls and gave up 2 line shots. Yikes. Yes, he gave up hard contact. But he didn't walk anyone. You have to trust your fielders. I consider this a win for him. Dont think i want him out there in this situation too much, but maybe will give him some confidence. Walking people has been his career problem, he can get outs.

LOL. The game thread crashed when Barnes came in. Was that the universe working to prevent all the negative Barnes posts ?

Barnes was pitching off of his fastball last year when he was going good. Afraid to throw it now. No spider tac? Arm trouble? Clearly, not the same pitcher. Trade for Montas. Move Whitlock to closer for the rest of the year

Theres 0 question that Whitlock should be the closer. Bring up Winckowski for a start or 2 until Seabold is ready but I want to see Whitlock closing games.

There must have been a scoring change on the game before last on the Xander dropped ball. It was re-ruled an error by Verdugo. Maybe that was the replay decision ?
Schreiber's ERA is back to 0.

His velocity was up to 95-96 mph, but he was still mainly throwing off speed stuff. That can get you in trouble if you leave one hanging. Barnes can't get worse. Can he? Lol
