MILB changed the listed Worcester starter to Michael Feliz. He's opened for Crawford before, though.

Nothing like a nice holiday weekend bullpen chain promotion:
Shugart and Simpson to Worcester Fernandez to Portland (Nail activated) Stock to Greenville (Esplin to the IL as well)

Tough start for Liu. Guy has looked impressive at times but he is having a rough season

Blaze Jordan last 10 games: 12 BB, 3 K What does that mean for a player with his power at age 19 in his second pro season? That it’s time to see what he can do against pitchers with better control in high A?

Downs been playing very well since being called up to Boston. Crazy how that works sometimes.

Downs been playing very well since being called up to Boston. Crazy how that works sometimes. He wasn't up for long but I bet Bogaerts gave him some tips about his approach. Bogie seemed eager to take Downs under his wing. Bogie had a scheduled day of rest the night that Downs played but he reportedly talked his way back into the lineup because he wanted to be out there in the field with the kid.

He talked his way back into the lineup because he feels an obligation to play at home. Had nothing to do with Downs from anything I've read, at least.

The radio booth linked it to wanting to be next to Downs on the field on his first day. Joe and Will also tend to talk to Xander a lot before games, FWIW.
