Iglesias with a bases loaded walk
ADD: Brentz finishes 2-4 with 2B to continue his nice start. Lavarnway 2-3 with a sac fly. Iglesias ends up 0-3, but a showing patience with bases loaded to draw a walk is a good sign.

Chris Martin now at 9IP, 3H, 12K/2BB, in 3 separate 3 inning appearances. If Bard continues to struggle, that "quick call up" to AAA may belong to the 26 year old Martin. Just something to watch going forward

Talk about your slow gameday threads. Looking for something else interesting in the box scores, not finding much. Well, the leadoff hitter for the Lexington Legends today was Raul Mondesi. No, not that one. A different one.

Hazy with a 4 for 5 with two BBs and a HR in both games combined. Nice start for the kid, whom I was afraid we'd lose in the Rule 5.
He's got speed and power, traits that should earn him a ML spot next year if not sooner. At worst he becomes a trade chip.
