Murphy gets out of the first only giving up one run but looks terrible. Can’t find the zone with his fastball and is leaving breaking balls up. Hopefully he can get it together and go 3 or 4 more innings.

Castellanos has a 2 walk game right now if you ignore the moronic first base up ringing him up on a check swing

Some playing time analysis at the full-season affiliates post-deadlines/now that some key promotions have happened, if you'll allow me to nerd out a bit here: WorcesterProbably have a rough starting lineup that'll look like this: CF Cordero RF Almonte 2B Valdez C/DH Hernandez 1B Casas C/DH Wong LF Davis 3B/UT Fitzgerald SS/IF Downs Granberg, Castellanos, and Sogard will work in, and it's not clear what'll happen when Stewart returns (out since 8/5). Mieses is back to window dressing with Grullon, who'll likely be the taxi squad catcher in Boston every road game this month (he's with them now). PortlandWith the rehabbers gone, they'll roll out something like: 2B Hamilton LF Abreu CF Rafaela SS Koss C/DH Scott 3B/1B Binelas RF Wilson 1B/3B Northcut LF/DH Dearden, 1B Potts, C Marrero Others are true backups at this point. GreenvilleOy. This lineup. They basically have 10 guys for 8 non-catcher spots, so guys get a day off every week unless noted and everyone is going to work through the DH spot. It's a lineup that if you were the director of scouting for a website that covered the farm system and were traveling to Greenville you'd have to be in town the whole week next week to make sure you saw everyone. Purely theoretically of course. 2B Yorke (everyday) SS Mayer (everyday) 3B Lugo 1B Kavadas 3B/1B Jordan C Hickey RF Sikes LF Rosier LF/CF/RF Jimenez LF/CF/SS McDonough SS/2B/CF Ferguson Davis, Decker, and the backup catchers aren't going to see much time behind those 11. Salem10 guys for 9 spots now that Mejicano seems to be hitting every day. SS/CF/3B/2b Paulino RF/CF Lopez 2B/SS/3B Bonaci 2B Meidroth (hasn't played short yet - seems clear they have no intention of getting him time there over the other guys) 1B Miller C/DH Mejicano (now playing every day?) C/DH McElveny 2B/3B Salazar LF Meredith CF Simas Gonzalez will get decent bench reps (esp. since Lopez can't stay on the damn field - they just put transactions in for a Aug. 1-11 IL stint we didn't know about late last week). Belen and Donlan are straight backups.

My guy Casas seems to be settling back in nicely to AAA after the injury. Not really in much of a rush to get him called up at this point but he is approaching 300 ABs in AAA so I'm sure he's close to being in the conversation.

If Bleis was in Greenville I would love that team. They just don’t have an outfield. Throw him there very nice.

Do not throw him high fast balls. So he's the anti-Blaze?

Marcelo's Greenville stats weren't in the dumpster for long 7-15 with 2 HR and 4 BB in his last four games since that 1-18 with 1 BB start in his first four games.

That swing is absolutely stunning. It's like if you designed the perfect left handed swing in a NASA scientific, rocket surgery lab.
