Seems like Hamilton had a good close to his season This was the Field of Dreams game at Hadlock. The players emerged from the 'corn' in center and then mingled with the fans. The temp. was a surprising, for this Maine day, 82 degrees with no breeze. Hamilton hit a 365' foot home run to right and, as note, got his 65th steal. Unfortunately he is hitting .235ish. I did see 4 of Ceddanne's ABs... First...tapper back to the mound Second...long line drive to right center just short of the track Third...line drive single to right b/t first and second basemen...just reached out for a pitch away Fourth: Had a beautiful bunt single down the 3B line..pitcher fielded..too late throw. Rafaela also made his now common good fielding play ranging hard into right center to corral a long liner. Binelas is having a very hard time making contact at this level. He was hitting .157 at game time with a ton of strikeouts. He looks demoralized shuffling, head down back to the dugout. I think that he K'd 3 more times. He has to be in the 35% strikeout range. Kavadas looks like an old school catcher in uniform...I did see a line single to right that might have been a double were it someone else. But, he is the antithesis of Hamilton on the paths. Koss made a couple of really nice plays at short one of which was a fully extended snare of a liner and beat out a dribbler to third. He has 16 steals with the Sea Dogs. His season has been solid. Kyle Hart gave up 2 hits including a home run in the first, but only allowed one hit thereafter in 6 good innings. His FB operated 88-90 so I was surprised that he did as well as he did. His curve and change consistently fooled batters and appeared well located...very effective. Too bad that he doesn't have more velo.
