I do really dislike this Heat team, particularly how the media fawns over them.

You gotta trade either Jaylen or Jayson or both. The new CBA makes it absolutely prohibitive to pay two guys $110 million. Yea cause if there’s one way to improve a team, it’s get rid of the two all-NBA players. FOH

Can you imagine what Jokic is going to do to the vaunted Heat zone? I watched the whole game one of the WCF. That game they had there way until the end the Lakers actually got it to 3. 2 things happened Lebron missed the 3 to tie and next time down Lebron got stripped. I knew the series was over .. The Nuggets looked great most of that game.

Well, this is depressing, but what can you really do about the Tatum freak injury? Just sad to see him grimacing out there.
Playing Brogdon in this game was negligence.
We'll run it back but Horford will be 37.

Jaylen Brown, folks - 8 for 23, including 1 for 9 from threes - 8 turnovers. Pretty weak defense.
Quarters of 15 and 16 points for the Celtics. How to explain home playoff record of 5 wins and 6 losses? That's just plain weird.

You get Muscala he not even helpful.

And there will be no room for reduncy at 70% of the cap. There will be no Malcolm Brogdon/Derrick White/Al Horford types once Jayson and Jaylen are maxed out.

I don’t blame them too much for this game. Their best player gets injured the first play of the game, they miss a bunch of threes while their opponent gets hot, that happens sometimes. The problem is they left themselves no margin for error with games one through three. Agreed. Nothing you can do about a Tatum freak injury. Add in the Brogdon and White injuries and its curtains. Just stinks.

I disagree on criticism of the Heat. They are tough, play smart, are disciplined and well coached. I hope they beat Denver.
And as much as I love Tatum as a player (most nights), I can do without the theatrics after every shot - just shut up and play. Same with Grant.

For those who are saying “tough break,” “too bad Tatum got hurt,” etc;
Mike Muscala showed more defensive effort picking up Bam full court than Jayson or Jaylen did from the third quarter on.

You nailed he was distracted with the #cking referee and the ankle I’m sure was irritating him. I couldn’t believe we got to 8, 7, 6 and then a turnover or traveling. That’s the most traveling I seen in a game.

Sucks they lost but I’m a bit relieved it’s over. This team was honestly brutal to root for.
I do think they need to shake things up in the off-season. Obviously a ton of talent but the pieces didn’t seem to fit as well this year. Not sure what the best moves would be, will leave that up to the smart guys in the FO.

What am I missing on new CBA? It certainly will reign in some spending, yet it won't be crazy extreme. The monet aspect already does that.

The Heat were tougher than the Celtics.
How was Caleb Martin not the MVP of the series?

But I am also really tough on them and have no problems calling out bad play when I see it. I will never be labeled a "homer", that's for sure. I also (as those on the baseball board know) ignore refs, and luck - because to me those things even out over a season. I just watch the game - the players.

Why , why , why win game six at the buzzer to come back. Here. I mean Brown not a rookie. He looked like an undrafted player

That sucked. With all the 2004 Red Sox references going on, I was pumped up for the game. The Celts had the better team, the huge wave of momentum coming off the comeback and the miracle win, and the home court advantage, you had to feel optimistic about their chances. Tatum gets hurt in the first minute and they played with zero energy pretty much thereafter with the exception of their early start. Brown was awful. Other than White nobody stepped up at all. The defense gave up 3 after 3 after 3, which the offense couldn't hit a 3, not that they were that proficient at hitting deuces either. They were careless with the ball. Huge disappointment. This team just finds a way to fall short.
The comeback was nice, but at the end of the day the #2 seed just got bounced by the #8 seed...at home.
Guess it's exclusively baseball season now in Boston. The Red Sox are on the clock.

What am I missing on new CBA? It certainly will reign in some spending, yet it won't be crazy extreme. The monet aspect already does that. It basically means you can only pay two starts at once - and if you do pay both guys, then the team will be paying a lot in the tax. After you’ve made that decision, the rest of the roster needs to be filled out with role players and minimum guys. I just don’t know how the Celtics pay Jaylen the max after this. He’s such a small-time player in the biggest moments.

For example we're about 7-8 million over the 2nd level if they had one this year.
