They do fall into some lackadaisical habits on defense too often.

Tony Brothers might be the worst ref in history. And that includes people who have gone to prison for fixing games.

Why aren’t they switching everything? Without Butler, I’m not afraid of any mismatch on this Heat team. They’re just walking into open shots and driving lanes off dribble handoffs over and over again.

Wow it was tied in a minute we’re up by ten. A little longer than that Tatum unstoppable

This entire officiating crew needs to be launched into the sun.

Does anyone here care 1% about the Royal Family? If so why? I think I saw on Net Flix how they take IIRC $30 million (edit: it has been over $100 Million in a year) from England taxpayers for nothing more than being the Royal Family. That's an insane conspiracy in and of itself.

They keep getting killed by the Herro/Adobayo pick and roll. How many times can you screw it up without doing something different?

In fairness, Bam’s screens are even more egregious than KG’s and he gets away with it.
Miami does so many cheap stuff out there, and the refs fall for it every time. Not shocking given that it’s Tony Brothers and his crew of bozos.

It’s insane how careless Jaylen still is with the ball. Did he do anything this offseason to tighten up his handle? Brogdon sneaky is a turnover machine, too.
Clean it up already.

The Jayson Tatum show. Wow. Four 30 point plus quarters. Chalk up another W.
Jaylen with 6 turnovers.

Unacceptable for Tatum not to get to 50 there.

Tatum a +29 in a 13 point win, by far the highest on the team
If he keeps this up he will have the best individual season I’ve seen a Celtic have in my lifetime
It is impossible to have a bad team with him on the roster. Like you can surround him with filler and he’s still a 6 seed

Like you can surround him with filler and he’s still a 7 seed And he's still just 24 - and will likely get better. Scary.

Two things about Tatum that have significantly improved: his ability to relentlessly pressure the rim and draw fouls rather than settling for jumpers and his passing on the move. The hardest step is for a ho him all-star to make the leap to best player on a championship contender. We’re seeing that this year.

A cool stat I have to share is that both the Celtics and the Bruins are undefeated at home in November. That's insane for one of them never mind both.

Unacceptable for Tatum not to get to 50 there. I respect that he tried with that one 3, but then didn’t steal it but getting a cheap layup in junk time when they were running out the clock. The fact 50 isn’t THAT important to him speaks to his maturity.

But you’re right - aside from that 3 when the game was in hand, he made every correct basketball play in a game when he was cooking. It’s unbelievable to see the strides he’s made as a player every season.

2 more years of Al Horford, per Woj. 2yrs/20 Million (pretty sure that's total for a 10M cap hit).

2 more years of Al Horford, per Woj. 2yrs/20 Million (pretty sure that's total for a 10M cap hit). www.spotrac.com/nba/boston-celtics/yearly/cap/I was looking at contracts yesterday and was wondering what they'd do with Horford. I thought 1/13 was natural. Not sure he'll be worth $10m in Year 2 at age 39, but he's still useful and wise, and still a deal in Year 1. He can also be an expiring contract for trade in year 2 (with his permission, of course, a golden parachute). I think JB has proven he's worth a full Max (as in after the TV deal cap jump) and is hopefully more comfortable as a 1B on a stellar team, so hopefully we will lock him up when it makes sense for him to sign a contract. After that, it's where does Grant end up and what we do with Prichard as Brogdon/White expire. Also, reminder that Tatum is still our 2nd youngest rotation player (after Grant) and 3rd youngest on the team (also after JDD). How insane is that. President Brad has done a masterful job getting a middle class on the roster that are winning players with contracts that can be moved or combined if we want/need to go big game hunting. Ainge never had those and suffered for it. At some point Brad will make a pick and we'll see if he's got a similar eye for the draft. We'll also see if/how we can keep that middle class as Brown moves to a max and Tatum to a SuperMax, depending on the cap and ownership's appetite for the harsher tax penalties.

They’re not going to have cap space for the foreseeable future, so this just costs the owners money. As long as they are committed to spending well into the luxury tax for a title contender, no real downside.

Wow, good deal for Horford. Makes Grant wanting 20 million seem kind of ridiculous.

Wow, good deal for Horford. Makes Grant wanting 20 million seem kind of ridiculous. I remember when 20 million was TWENTY MILLION. Grant hasn't been putting up great game stats lately, but perhaps he has been doing more 'dirty work'...I see him expendable and gone in any case. It's great that Tatum is driving more (and successfully!) instead of that fade away jumper...which thankfully appears extant. At the same time I am wary of any return of hero ball. He carried us in the last game, but...

10 turnovers in 14 minutes is bad, right?
