Digging up old posts is clown behavior. Not to mention this is what I said after the game 6: “He deserves a ton of credit…not just because of the shots he hit late, but he had a great floor game outside of shooting. At the same time, he’s had several slow starts in a row now, and it’s been putting the team in a tight spot. He needs to be better from the jump on Sunday.“ So words don't mean anything now? Or do you just not like being held accountable for what you say? I know even championship teams look terrible some game, I've been there and know that and act accordingly and choose not to hurl inflamatory comments and demeaning insults when they do, afterall you are supposed to be a fan and believe in the team otherwise why would you follow them? I'm not claiming they are above criticism either. Moving on, I'm expecting a long series, I don't think the Heat have as much talent as we do HOWEVER they are very well coached, work their asses off and relentless and provide max effort. I think they get everything they can out of the talent they have. This is going to be a tough series so I hope out West they beat each other up. We should make it back to the Finals this year. Lol, held accountable? I’m not a Celtics employee or a reporter who covers the NBA. I post reactionary stuff about the Celtics during games on a thread buried inside a Red Sox message board. Some of you take this too seriously and spend way too much time talking about my posts. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - it is so easy to ignore me if you don’t like what I have to say. |

I loved that Boston pushed the pace in this one. They will need to do that against a much tougher and craftier Heat team.

I remember last year White came out after the baby he played good against the heat. The heat have no PJ tucker and no Olidipo. He was a pain off the bench. They picked up Love. But they do have a good coach.

The Heat scare me, not talent wise, yet that coach just gets 110% out of that roster. Frankly on talent we should steam roll this Heat team. Yet coaching matters much more in the playoffs and the Heat will throw every different look at you. Let's hope our coach is ready to adjust.
People will call out Doc last series, yet it was much more Embiid not in shape and Harden has aged. I'm stilled amazed Embiid won MVP and not Giannis or Jokic. Embiid just can't handle good D and play 100% for a series. He's a fraud and they handed him MVP as a 3rd seed while missing a bunch of games.

Can I be honest with you all? I have no memory of the 2020 Bubble ECF. Apparently Brad Wanamaker was our 7th man? Theis was a starter? I know we were in the midst of a pandemic but this barely rings a bell with me. I think because it felt like the 2002 ECF (too-young Pierce/'Toine against Kidd) where I knew we would be steamrolled so I just didn't get invested.

That 2020 team probably overachieved somewhat, but that was a legitimately good team that had a real shot of winning the title that year. With that said, this team both has better top-line talent and better depth. This is probably as good of a shot at a title that they may ever have. That doesn't mean it will be easy or that it's a failure if they don't win the title, but would love to see them seize the opportunity here.

Im too scarred from the last decade-plus to be optimistic but really glad the Celtics came back in this series.
Vegas seems to really love the Celtics chances but I’m not quite sure why other than home court. I feel like the Lakers would be really tough although I don’t know enough to understand all the matchup nuances. LeBron is old but he has aged pretty well. The Lakers also got gift wrapped DLo and Vanderbilt at the trade deadline.
Denver also has that altitude issue. Thankfully we have home court.

Well Celtics are clearly best team left, history tells us it usually take a top 10 offense and defense, usually with one being very good. Celtics offensive rating 2nd, defensive rating 3rd, net rating #1
Heat 25th, 9th and 21st
Nuggets 5th, 15th and 6th
Lakers 20th, 11th and 16th

Celtics offensive rating 2nd, defensive rating 3rd, net rating #1 Heat 25th, 9th and 21st Nuggets 5th, 15th and 6th Lakers 20th, 11th and 16th The playoffs is a bit of a different animal though and as I mentioned, the Lakers got some goodies basically for free at the deadline. Actually its worse than that since they offloaded Westbrook, so they got assets in return for a bad contract and some near worthless picks. |

Sure the Lakers got better, yet you actually think they went from middle of pack to best team in the league? The East was much better this year. The Grizzlies the best team in the West is young, 1-3 in playoffs last 3 years and lost two defensive bigs for the season. That Warriors team wasn't close to last years team, heck Denver isn't close to a great team as a #1 seed.
