They gave Anderson Espinoza and Christopher Acosta 1.8 and 1.5 million each one year, I believe that was about 10 years ago. Any update on Acosta? You'll be hearing from my lawyer. 😂

On the Red Sox bonus pool amount, Jesse Sanchez and Ben Badler are reporting different amounts for the bonus pool. Sanchez lists $5,284,000, but I think Badler has it right at $5,925,000. If you compare their reporting, they have the same amounts for the other bonus pools, except for the one the Red Sox are in (the "base" pool). If you look at last year's article from Jesse Sanchez, the base bonus pool is listed as $5,284,000, so it would be the same this year as last year despite all the other bonus pools changing. I think they just took what they had last year and forgot to update the Red Sox bonus pool amount. It also doesn't make sense for the teams that signed a QO (which means losing $500k in bonus pool money) to have a pool of $5,152,000 if the base pool is $5,284,000.

whens the last time we got one of the top guys? This has been a pretty intentional strategy of theirs for at least a few years, Daniel Flores was probably the last “top” guy they’d signed.

Is Cesar Muzziotti is any way related to voided contract (and MLB-er) Simon Muzziotti?

5 top 100 guys so far. All RHH and 1 switch hitter and the 1 pitcher but I wonder if that was on purpose.

"possibly being a front-of-the-rotation kind of guy." No pressure, kid. Just come in, work hard and the rest will come.

I gotta say, I’m in love with this class. It’s seems like they have a bit of everything: Speedster who gets on base, athletic up the middle position player with a knack for spraying the ball to all fields, big corner infielder with some serious power potential and a big pitcher with a power arsenal. A lot to like.

Not sox related but the Mets signed Vladi miguel Guerrero.
I find it funny there's Vladimir Guerrero Sr, Vladimir Guerrero Jr and Vladi Guerrero. Wonder if he's got a daughter named Vladimina.
