If you have a 3-2 lead in the 8th you have to win no excuse Lol no. Thats not how baseball works. You damn well know that. That’s how good teams work can’t blow 2 games in a row no excuse to get walked off 2 days in a row. You damn well know that

Not having Pivetta to use today was tough. Get another pitcher in the building.
Also tough to win series when Devers and Yoshida don’t show up at the plate

hurts to lose to extra inning games, but no blowouts, in any event. Keep the Faith !! Why though? Sit ur best two hitters when the opponent is using stripling as the bulk guy. Bring winksoski out for the second inning instead of using schreiber for the eighth. Some really weird decisions Add, not to mention terrible defense again and getting doubled off on a ball hit right in front of you that you were watching the entire time to kill the only rally you had the entire game that is fair, but just drew some bad luck / performance when they went extra's. sort of a crapshoot at that point.

If you have a 3-2 lead in the 8th you have to win no excuse Lol no. Thats not how baseball works. You damn well know that. Especially since other teams are regularly blowing 3-run leads. Cora also did a great job this series. This series loss is on the players. If the Red Sox sell they can look back on this series, as well as losing 2/3 to Oakland and getting swept by the Pirates and Cardinals.

Devers get a lot of blame and deservedly so because of his poor defense and terrible hitting but Yoshida has been MIA the whole series too.

I expect at the deadline Bloom picks up a middling reliever. I doubt the Paul DeJong rumors have any legs. In other words Bloom stands pat and waits for IL returns. I understand the philosophy but hoping those returning players stay healthy is not a great plan.

Also tough to win series when Devers and Yoshida don’t show up at the plate I think that Yoshida needs to sit a couple of games. He is out of whack (literally and figuratively). Previous time outs have had him coming back strongly. Sox are not a good hitting team on the road.

What? Cora was walking a tightrope all series and doing it well. The position players didn’t hit or field their positions well. Let’s not look for excuses, half the team didn’t show up the whole weekend. It’s on the manager to get his team to show up especially in the middle of a WC race. If Cora can’t do that he shouldn’t be the manager Shut up Ryan

Schreiber had already thrown 2 innings. How pray tell was Cora supposed to use him in the 8th?

It helps reduce the sting a bit to see the Yankees getting shelled. Mentally preparing myself for the Luis Severino reclamation project contract 6 months from now

You give up 9 runs in almost 30 innings of baseball... it's on the offense. Pitching did its job.

People are going to think the new guy has rabies.

They lost this series they'll win the next in Seattle. If they won it, they would've lost vs the Mariners... It's been like this all year long. Dam near ever year of your life it's like that. Even when your right and of course we all remember that as being the vast majority of the time, it's often for reasons that have nothing to do with what you said it would.

He went a bit too far but if they lose tomorrow I think selling is justified.

He went a bit too far but if they lose tomorrow I think selling is justified. I'm of the mind that this team will be what it is regardless of splashy moves. Unless the Sox get an unrefusable offer, standing pat may be the (super unpopular) right thing to do.

I have a suspicion he struggles on road trips based on that he stunk on this one and he has said the travel is a hard adjustment. But I have not checked to see if the overall stats support this

I’m not sure if you came here from Yankeesprospects.com to troll this board, or not, but trading Duran is certainly not the move this team should make.

Are you seriously accusing Duran of using PEDs?? How does that even make sense?
