I really really don't give a flying F about DOB's daughters and how much their schoolers hips did cost him or his son's service for the country. Why does he even have to "share" that with us on every occasion?

When Crawford is on he reminds me of Eovaldi. Evo had more velo of course but the diverse set of weapons has me feeling some kind of way.

I think Duran beats that if he slides headfirst

I feel like Yoshida hits much better when he plays Left Field as opposed to when he's the DH. It might just be my imagination. Does anyone know if there's stats for this?

Does anyone know if there's stats for this? .332/.384/.535 as LF (237 PA) .287/.366/.442 as DH (145 PA) Not sure the sample/gap has me fully bought in to it being a real trend yet but definitely an interesting thing to follow and a good observation on your end

Fangraphs splits page has his stats split out between LF and DH. As a LF he bats .332 as a DH .287. Too lazy to check the rest but it seems you're on to something. Edit: I got beat to it with the post above.

Seems like Crawford has a lot of pitches. Cutter, Knuckle Curve, Sweeper, FB. Mixing speeds and zones.
Hard not to like this guy.

In my quest to see if Casas is pushing AL Player of the Month status, I just noticed that the 6th-10th best players in baseball for July by batting average (min PA 50) are Duran, Devers, Yoshida, Wong, and Casas with Turner 13th. By wRC+ Casas is 3rd behind Contreras and Julian so it's possible with a strong weekend he nabs POTM. 0.365/0.476/0.808/1.284 with a 239 wRC+. To this fine information might I add: with only 18 more hits in a row Tristan Casas will improve his batting average to .300 on the year and place himself in serious contention for Rookie of the Year and the batting title.

Ray's beat the Astro's. Sox right now 2 behind Blue Jays and Astros.

In the Peterson's at bat: I always Gringe when my pitcher gets 2 swinging strikes as the 2 first strikes then the hitter hits a foul ball after that lol If the order of them strikes changes we're golden 😅

At this rate, we may be in bed by midnight (we on the east coast).
Kutter 57 pitches in 4 innings - not bad. 6 or 7 inning start possible.

Some more players that Casas has a higher career wRC+ than: Derek Jeter, Bernie Williams, Yogi Berra
