Yuten ends with a three-hit game. At the time of this post (two other FCL games going on), he's second in the FCL in hits and average and tied for seventh in OPS. Zanatello also with a very complex league three walk, three steal day Complex league indeed, but nice to see his 3BB:0K on a day when the rest of the team had 2BB:11K.

Roman Anthony with his 2nd hit of the ball game seems he's back after that little slump he had.

I’m on a low simmer warming back up to Bryan Gonzales. Average is up to .265 and there is going to be plenty of power if he can figure out the hitting thing.

Rafela half way to the record for consecutive games with a HR.
edit: I only saw major league names on the list so, maybe not.

Why is Story still coming out of his rehab games before the end? Shouldn't he be playing full games by now like he will have to in the Majors?

Last major prospect I can remember lighting up AAA like this was WMB Yup, Middlebrooks hit .333 .380 .677 1.057 with 9 hrs in 100 PA at age 23, moved up to Boston, had one great half year in Boston of .288 .325 .509 .835, then started 2013 with 7 games of .286 .333 .786 1.119 with 4 hrs, then hit .222 .265 .394 .659 for the rest of 2013 and hit .228 .272 .391 .663 for his MLB career. Thanks for that injection of sobriety. If only we had had enough depth at 3b to trade WMB in 2012! My Phillies friend saw him in person that year and said "he's a beast!" As exciting as it would be to see Rafaela in Boston ASAP, I think it's crucially important that he play in AAA for as long as he needs. He may have a high floor, but I don't want to give up hope that he might reach closer to his ceiling than his floor. But I'm very glad those 4 hrs Aug 1-4 were not hit for another team!

This organization could not have afforded to sacrifice that much future broadcast booth talent.

I saw Soto last night for the first time. 91-93 with the fastball. Didn’t have a good view of the pitches but he was throwing 81-84. Arm heavy delivery-two pitch guy. Spotty command and control. Nothing special.

His wrist injury came at the worst time. I think that really stunted his development personally.

I think it's also a reminder that he's also only got 130 PA. Hitters don't tend to keep this up for more significant sample sizes. Good full season lines at AAA tend to settle around like a .850 OPS. Lavarnway was .295/.390/.612 in 264 PA the year before. I think the only person to kind of do this in a full season is Jeff Bailey hitting .301/.405/.562 in 494 PA in 2008. Wasn't really a prospect though. Since there's so many people asking on Rafaela versus Bleis, I'll just say that I do think Rafaela has closed the gap, but would remind everyone that these aren't power rankings. Rafaela having a 1.055 OPS in 130 plate appearances is awesome. It also doesn't make us completely reevaluate who he is. And something I just noticed (that I'm sure some will take as finding another reason to doubt him, although I know it isn't and don't really care), it's that 7 of his 10 HR have come against Syracuse, a team that has given up 174 to lead the International League by 21. We really like Rafaela! He's 4th in a good system. He's going to have an MLB career of some sort. There's a wide berth between "doubters" and "fanboys" where most of us are. Pointing out things to keep an eye on as part of discussion doesn't put you in one category or the other.
