Marvin Alcantara was officially promoted to Salem. Cristian Nunez promoted to Salem, as well.

With the lunchtime start in Worcester, Whitlock can be back with the big league team by first pitch. He can grubhub some steaks for the Woo boys on the way.

Looks like Brainer Bonaci may have been promoted to AA.

Whitlock out. Good outing, a few too many pitches but also a lot of swing and miss.
Abreu & Sogard with HRs 3-0 Woosox.

Looks like Brainer Bonaci may have been promoted to AA. The BRAINIAC is my second favorite prospect btw. Since this is a GameDay thread I'm going to go completely off topic, inspired by this. This is the second year in a row I've been in Fredericksburg for super hero day. Last year was Batman themed, this year was Superman. One thing they do is replace the visitors' headshots with the corresponding comic book villains (fun gag), and man, Batman's rogues gallery is so much better than Superman's. Anyway yeah they should've done Superman last year and done Brainiac for Bonaci.

WOW bad ump call of Rafaela. He topped a slider that never went into fair territory, was called a fair ball.

Cutter Coffey appears to have been promoted to Greenville as he's in their lineup tonight.

Cutter Coffey appears to have been promoted to Greenville as he's in their lineup tonight. I believe this makes him the 4th youngest player in High-A or above, with Roman being the 5th.

Brooks Brannon looks like he's done for the year. Placed on 60-day IL yesterday. That's a shame. Was interested to see him get substantial at-bats this year.

I know he is no longer considered a prospect, but on the chance he could turn around like Duran, how does he look in right field? He is certainly having a good year at the plate.

Something I wasn't expecting: Anthony turning into a 3 true outcomes hitter.

I have been down on Song in the context of him sticking in the majors this year, but as a prospect in High-A I thought he looked pretty good. Curve, change and slider all look good to me. Control and velo need to improve but there's reason to think they will.

Song's curveball is still unbelievable 3 years later. If he gets strong and in actual baseball shape, he'll be fun to watch in the minors next year. This pitch was his slider, it looks like it and that looks great too.

Who are you talking about? Hopefully not Dalbec... Sorry. Yes, Dalbec. He is having a good year at the plate in AAA. He has been playing some right field lately and I wonder if he is any better there than at first base. I know Dalbec has been poor during his time in Boston and most everyone has given up on him. But just about everyone had given up on Duran before this year too.

I wasn't trying to shame you on your Dalbec take - we all have guys that we like regardless of popular consensus! I personally move on from that player type very quickly (like other slugging corner bats - the Wily Mo's and Franchy's of the world). That could definitely be a blind spot for me though.
