Complicated history with his bandmates (I'm probably Team Levon, although I'll admit to not having done an encyclopedic dive into the history there) but no debating the music Robbie left us.

FCL postponed. Both DSL games in lightning delays.

The Waltz stands alone in whatever category you want to call it. You literally can't know rock history without knowing The Waltz.
So many memories, for me hearing the song Cripple Creek reminds me of about 25 hikes from Colorado Springs to Cripple Creek ( a different Cripple Creek), one of my favorite hikes. Every Saturday, me and my all time favorite dog would hike from Colorado Springs to Cripple Creek, a casino town, and every Saturday night my brother also went there but drove. We'd gamble and I got a ride home. (I always left my dog at the parking guard shack at one of the casinos).
Keep on rocking Robbie....

Hickey with his 13th HR. Also has a double.
Tough outing for Dobbins.

New MLB Top 100 coming out today... Loved how they picked Cespedes as Sox fastest rising prospect, and what they had to say about him.

Hickey with his 13th HR. Also has a double. Tough outing for Dobbins. The terrific thing about loudly trying to be the guy higher on a player than the crowd is, is that if he hits a wall, you can just go quiet and assume no one will remember it ever happened This is the way - just don’t forget to really rub everyone’s nose in it if your guess hits

Campbell was in RF in the FCL lineup that was originally posted.

Campbell was in RF in the FCL lineup that was originally posted. Who was in center? Would imagine they try to get Campbell some time there too, but with Tucker/Zanatello (are they going to get him reps there early or let him grow at SS first?) I can see why they'd be doing a lot of shuffling.

The solo album from 1987 is also quite good with a lot of guest musicians, including Peter Gabriel, U2, The Bodeans, Rick Danko, Garth Hudson and Maria McKee (and a make-out session with her in the video). Broken Arrow, Hell's Half Acre, Sonny Got Caught in the Moonlight and Somewhere Down that Crazy River are all stand-out tunes. But yes, Team Levon all the way. You don't screw-over your bandmates, take credit for their work and cut them out of royalties. Period.

I gotta say Guidas, however much we may disagree about the Bloom front office’s effectiveness, we’re on the same wavelength musically. I’m still listening to More Fun in the New World from when you shared it a couple weeks ago! My all-time favorite live album moment is from Rock of Ages, when Garth breaks out into Auld Lang Syne during the Chest Fever intro. From that point through the rest of the song epitomizes everything that made the Band great. As for the Sox, well, two walks from Bonaci and a homer for Hickey is good to see, at least. Hoping Houck looks good tonight.

It was born 58 years ago when Mr. Robert Zimmerman proclaimed: "Johnny's in the basement, mixin' up the medicine I'm on the pavement, thinkin' about the government The man in a trench coat, badge out, laid off Says he's got a bad cough, wants to get it paid off Look out kid, it's somethin' you did God knows when, but you're doin' it again You better duck down the alleyway, looking for a new friend The man in the coon-skin cap in a pig pen Wants 11 dollar bills – you only got 10..." From there, it's just a back beat and little guitar jangle to "Rapper's Delight"

Thoroughly off topic aside from the thread title and some of the conversation, but as a decade-long veteran of video store management I've listened to the Last Waltz an extraordinary number of times--it was my go-to "it's a crazy busy weekend night and folks will wait more patiently if they have something awesome to listen to" choice. That said I'd never heard/seen this version of "The Weight" until yesterday and it's an immediate favorite.

From there, it's just a back beat and little guitar jangle to "Rapper's Delight" LOL, I used to be able to sing Subterranean Homesick Blues (sortof).

The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down is flat out one the 20 or so best rock songs ever. Great Band!

Worcester finally says "no mas" to Mother Nature. They're already playing a doubleheader tomorrow so it remains to be seen when they'll make up today's game.

Then he pulled a Bubba Chandler fastball real hard down the line and took out the shortstop on his slide into second

Teel with another hit. Already 3-3 in the 4th inning.
