Curious for those who have been watching has Abreu developed a lot this year? His k-rate is way down, and SP's writeup says cutting down the swing and miss is most important, but he hasn't moved in the rankings at all. Ian talks about him in their August 12th podcast.

The Worcester park factor is crazy. Before today Abreu had a .380 wOBA but only a 114 wRC+. I also didn’t realize he was so patient, running a 16% walk rate. 114BB for Abreu in 579 PA in 2022

Noah Dean pitching in relief of Paez. Maybe the starter experiment is over?

I'm sort of surprised he hasn't pushed ahead of Valdez in the rankings. Valdez at this point seems more a "known commodity" and more limited defensively. Valdez is a 2B but he's not good there at all where as Abreu might be a good RF and does have the arm for the position.

Looks like Johanfran Garcia and Nathanael Yuten were promoted to Salem (and maybe Claudio Simon, too).

What's the International League home run record? Dalbec has to have a shot at it Phil Hiatt had 42 for Toledo in 1996.

What's the International League home run record? Dalbec has to have a shot at it Phil Hiatt had 42 for Toledo in 1996. Actually the IL record is 63 by Joe Hauser for Baltimore in 1930. Hauser also holds the American Association record of 69 for Minneapolis in 1933. The American Ass'n was a league of the same level as the IL and PCL that folded in the 1990s with some teams going to the IL or PCL. Interestingly, Hauser's feats were accomplished after the end of his 1922-1929 major league career. I had never heard of him before but thought the record was higher than 42, so looked it up.

the Worcester lineup on Sunday with Valdez-Abreu-Dalbec-Scott-Fitzgeral with OPS .972/.901/1.011/.999/.893 and Rafaela at 1.035 having the day off. Hamilton is not bad at .805

Looks like Johanfran Garcia and Nathanael Yuten were promoted to Salem (and maybe Claudio Simon, too). Wonder if Gilberto goes back to Greenville. Would seem to make sense. Also, worth noting the domestic reserve list is full, although Worcester is going to somehow need to make room for 3 guys tomorrow (Chang, Lamet, Barraclough).
