Hayden Mullins added to the FCL roster on a rehab assignment. Could be making his first pro appearance today.

Is Perales ok? He hasn't thrown since 8/8.
Song started Sunday, although it was only 2 innings.

Question for Chris et al: Are Ryan Ammons and Nelly Taylor actually injured, or is it a procedural move?

Question for Chris et al: Are Ryan Ammons and Nelly Taylor actually injured, or is it a procedural move? Nelly Taylor posted a few weeks back that he had surgery. No idea on Ammons.

Don't know Ammons' current status but he missed most of the Clemson season with a forearm strain. He came back at the end of the year (as a reliever) but whether it's rest or a reinjury I'm guessing it's not a strictly phantom DL thing.

Yeah Perales I'll assume it's a skip unless we get two full turns through the rotation.
Guys don't procedurally go on the IL anymore. If they didn't want them to count on rosters they didn't have to actually add them (like Stebens hasn't yet technically).
On Song, I could see the plan being something like 2 IP starts every 4th day. That'd get him 6 outings before the regular season ends plus at least game 1 of the playoffs.

Franklin Arias is 3-3 with a BB and 2B. Only the 5th inning.

Cespedes left Tuesday's game and missed the last 2. Clearly this is a "Please, Hammer don't hurt 'em" situation and the organization felt his superior talent was psyching-out his teammates, so they are giving an opportunity for others to shine.

Didn’t he get hit in the thigh with a line drive last time???

I’m at the Drive game — Mikey Romero had to be carried off the field. Not sure what happened but the injury was non-contact after making a routine play.
Update: They carted him off after the next half inning. They appeared to be stabilizing his hip in the cart but it was difficult to tell.

On the stream he looked fine after getting the ball in from the outfielder, then after a bit he walked to the mound in some pain, and then it progressed to him not being able to put any weight on his leg.

Rafaela goes Oppo Taco to lift the WooSox into a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the 8th.

Find something you love as much as Ceddanne loves spraying the ball out to right

Y'all have made it so we don't even notice if he homers, just looking for a BB in the box score.

That fastball was in the strike zone, so I hope he's swinging at it.

It was too high to maximize contact. We need 105 exit velos and 420 ft. HR's. Ask Giancarlo.

I don't know what else to say. I realize I shouldn't have engaged in the first place, I'm just enjoying his success in AAA right now and hopefully he'll be an impact player in the future.

Look at the gameday, that was a Bryce Harper height fastball. That's a pitchers pitch, when pitchers try to go upstairs, it often doesn't work out. He also does well against sinkers.
