The INT to close out the first half was enough for me. I was done. The second half just got worse. I thought Mac started with pretty good protection and looked decent while getting the lead.
Offense just couldn't sustain it while trying to exclusively run a short pass game. I can't even remember a long ball...?

Giants almost won with 8 yards passing. Then couldn't hit a FG and Jets tied it with 24 seconds left.

Glad to see Pop is finally starting to become the primary target and that the Patriots look to be giving up on JuJu for the most part (3 yard touchdown withstanding).

Patriots went almost two full games not attempting a pass over 20 yards, that's crazy and on the OC.
Mac Jones was back to being Mac Jones against good teams. For the first time this season he took multiple sacks because he held the ball too long. He missed open guys, like Parker for an easy 1st down, instead sack and FG.
You really missed Judon and I don't get playing so much zone against a QB like Tua. Press man D, to throw off timing on quick throws and pressure seems like the way to go.
Panthers won, so did Titans.

Hate to see injuries, but maybe we can see Thornton and Boutte now! It's a lost season, you need to figure out pieces going forward.
I'm still confused about Reagor, he's not doing anything with his extra playing time.
Call me crazy but another bright spot is Juju value is at season high, I certainly hope he's traded to Chiefs.
Unfortunately with OL playing better Mac Jones will do well against crap teams and we'll pick up more wins.

Can someone help me out, as this is the second time in two weeks I think the announcers don't understand the rules for ineligible receiver downfield. But now I question if it's me. I thought if the ball was thrown to someone who is still behind the line of scrimmage (i.e. a screen pass), then a lineman can go down field before the ball is thrown. You can have an ineligible man downfield penalty on any forward pass. It’s just backwards passes where it’s OK to be downfield. |

Really getting the sinking suspicion nothing will happen by 4. Uche should be moved. I'd like for them to move Dugger. I understand if they're trying to retain for future years, but they better get it done if that's the case. Without Bourne I don't think this team is going to beat the Commanders or Colts, let alone the Bills again or the Chiefs and they'll need to go at least 7-2 to have a chance at the playoffs. No sense in taking the Red Sox approach and do nothing. I get football is different, but nobody believes this team is capable of a playoff run at this point. Get what you can. Buying or doing nothing would show they care more about Bill's win record more than anything else.

So, are these fans really wiser than the stubborn front offices, or could there be other reasons for not tanking besides preserving 2% playoff odds that the decision-makers are thinking about? Also FWIW the Patriots will be small favorites in each of their next two games. Sure they could lose both but I wouldn't bet on it. It's more likely that they win both or go 1-1. After losing to the Raiders and Saints and how they looked against Miami, I can't confidently take the Patriots in any game moving forward except for maybe the Giants. The Commanders twice put up 31 points on the Eagles. With a season high of 35 against the Broncos. The Patriots have a season high of 29 with an average of 14.8 (2nd lowest in the NFL). I don't see why they would be the favorite in any game (other than NYG) moving forward. This is before losing their best offensive weapon for the year. The Broncos have peeled away a bit. There's a glaring reason why the Patriots won't, Bill's record. 7-2 still might not get them into the playoffs since that only gets them to 9-8. |

They’re not going to get much for anyone they’d realistically want to trade. I’m not so jazzed about a late round pick that I’d give up anyone they have a legit shot at re-signing (like Uche).

redsoxfan2 I wouldn't expect you to be confident, they are only 2.5-3 point favorites. You may not see why they would be the favorite, but they are the (slight) favorite. I've learned not to think I know better than professional bookmakers, even though I win about half of my bets lol. Of course you could be right in this case, but longterm/large sample size, 2.5-3 point favorites win more than they lose.
