Duggar is overrated and always has been around here. He’s also a safety, which lowers his value. Safeties are also probably the hardest position on D to work in in the middle of the season.

You can certainly say Uche getting you a comp pick is a possibility. It's just not likely at all given the money they have to spend. Not given how the comp pick formula works. The last thing you want to do is limit yourself to signing guys who were released or waiting till the comp picks go away late in the year so you can get a low comp pick potentially for Uche.

The talk of Bill losing his job if the Pats dont win this weekend is weird. The Pats big problem is a lack of talent due to years of bad drafting and mediocre free agent signings. If the Pats were to fire Bill now, the new head coach and the new GM would still be stuck with the current roster until the offseason.

He will pay top dollar for elite corners. He’s done it before and it’s a position you do it for. He let a 31 year old Ty Law walk, but paid huge money for a young Gilmore and Gonzalez is a young rookie who will hit FA at 26. They’ll pay him if he’s real elite and if his personality fits (it seems like it does), but if he’s fake elite like Assante or JC he will be gone. |

That was my big worry watching Mac Jones tape, how does he handle things when they aren't easy. You never got to see that in College. Hard coaching when everything is going good versus when it's not. The Boston Sports Media doesn't help and Mac Jones bought into that crap last year.
You basically have Mac Jones the rookie still and the whole league has adjusted to his game. They dare him to beat them deep. They focus on stoping the run and crowding short passes. He's not taking to coaching and it shows. It's why Zappe looked better last year!
The Gesecki play, shows the coaching did it job. It shows Mac Jones was able to read D pre-snap and make the right adjustments. It also shows he has no confidence to make the needed downfield throws, likely worrying about it being picked off. That's why I was excited about Gesecki and it also explains why he hasn't done much. It's over when a QB is thinking about interceptions and not just playing. You think pre snap, once ball is snapped it needs to be pre programmed actions. It's why he's late with passes and a half second to a second in the NFL is everything. It's the difference in an easy Juju first down to a hard catch that gets picked off.
There's a reason why most scouts want to see 3 years of starting experience with QBs. Nevermind these QBs from stacked teams struggle a ton. Some like Tua adjust and become good QBs, others don't. It just sucks because Mac Jones biggest issue is Mac Jones. The ability to be like a Cousins QB is there, he's the only thing stopping it from happening.

My biggest problem with Mac is his arm strength. It seems to take the ball too long to get to the receivers. That gives the DBs time to either knock it down or tackle the receiver immediately with no YAC. He's a backup type at best. They should be in a good position to get a better one in the draft.
