Time to ignore the sunk cost and drop ryland I'm 35 and can be used as a stop gap to next season. No need to worry about missing game winning kicks, you'll just know for certain. |

They’ll definitely bring in competition for next season. But for the rest of the season, might as well see what he can do.

Love seeing Panthers fire their coach, maybe the new guy can get them a few wins! They don't care, with Bears owning their pick.
Yeah It's like people don't get we want to lose, Ryland kick was money. Stop watching sport radio, bashing bill for not going for a TD. It's like they just don't get it, only way this season is salvaged is by getting a top pick, which means hopefully, losing out.

Not arguing it'd be a lock because who knows where the pick ends up or how the board falls, but he literally drafted a first round QB the last time he was desperate for a QB. He clearly hates his entire current QB room, and he has urgency to win immediately following this season. He's never had this type of draft capital coupled with a quarterback need, but even with Tom here he allocated decent value picks (2nd-4th round) frequently on backups. I see nothing in his history or current actions that would indicate he's out on a top QB. |

The Bears and Cards do play one another so at least one of them will pick up another W. Panthers games are all likely losers but also possible wins so it’s interesting. Cards play: @steelers (Long shot) 49ers. (Loss) @bears (winnable, but even a loss might help) @eagles (loss) Seattle (likely loss but winnable division game at home) Bears play: @ Vikings (w) Lions (possible w) @browns (possible w) Cards (winnable) Falcons (possible w) @packers. (Possible w) Panthers play: @ Tampa (possible w) @ Saints (possible w) Falcons Packers @ jags Tampa Edited to show bears last game and the W against the Vikings |

Arizona wins the tiebreaker and haven't had their bye week yet so if we lose all our remaining games, we get the second pick. I think that's how it is.

Honestly, the defense has played well enough for us to have been a 6-5 or 7-4 team with an average offense. Let's face it, they've had the ball with a chance to win the game the last three games. This, despite losing it's two best players (Judon & Gonzo) for the year and several other starters for multiple games. It's a deep and versatile group that I'll be excited to watch dominate next year. |

I’m beginning to feel like a Jets fan the last 20 years. Jets haven't been to the SB since 1969. Their best QB was Joe Namath, who wanted to kiss Suzy on national tv. Rex & his leaked foot fetish (there was reportedly more to that story than only feet) was their most memorable coach of the last 25 years. Yeah, 13 AFC Championship games, 9 nine SBs & 6 wins is very much like what Jets fans have experienced. Btw, I was in KC for the AFC Championship game in 2019 & got there a couple days early to take in the scene. The fans were besides themselves excited -- they hadn't been to a Championship Game in 50 years! This was 8 straight for us. Ho hum for some. Not for me. The only thing I find hard about being a Patriots fan -- and I started long before either Bill -- is the insufferable local media & fans. Gosh, this message board is such an unfun space. I wonder: how many of the fans with their "higher standards" apply such rigor to their own lives? |

I still think the Patriots are going to win a couple of these remaining games. Their defense and running game are decent enough and can’t get much worse at QB.

They do, but they had the ability to get the top 2 QB and the WR. Now they will only get 1 of them. I thought it would have been kind of cool to get Williams and MHJ. |
