Given how awful that first half performance was, feels like they need to give Zappe a chance here if nothing else to maintain some credibility with the rest of the team.

Mac hadn't had a touchdown drive in 1 and a half games. Zappe led one his first of today.

Even though they should be looking improve draft position, my competitiveness took over and I really wanted that one.Two weeks of prep and that's the best effort they could come up with? ny was bad and even with a crap game plan Pats still should have won.

I hate this crap,but good job.
The problem with doing that with Zappe is that's not the offense you should run with him. If you want to see what he can so do, name him starter and Taylor the offense to him, not Mac Jones. Give him all the first team reps.
Then again Mac Jones is the guy to help you tank.

They ran the ball well today and got 6 sacks so those are two nice things we can say about them

Honestly, the defense has played well enough for us to have been a 6-5 or 7-4 team with an average offense. Let's face it, they've had the ball with a chance to win the game the last three games.

When allowing 10 or fewer points this year, the Patriots are 1-2. The rest of the NFL is 48-0. Belichick had only lost two such games in his career prior to this season. |
